    The food particularly the black cod was perfectly cooked. My server was very knowledgeable about the menu and a joy to chat with. All in all, the experience was lovely and a pleasure to have on the first day.

    The entire experience was lovely. Our food and drinks were excellent. Great value for mussels and duck breast. Lovely crisp on the duck. Sauces were fabulous. Salad was delicious as was dessert and coffee. Loved the chatter of guests with no loud music. The butcher paper table runners were charming. Our service was exceptional.

    We have been to Higgins many times before but this evening the restaurant was far below par. Maybe a problem with the kitchen. The wait between ordering and receipt of our food was almost 45 minutes; my wife’s food was not hot, mine was fine. Lengthy delays plus inconsistent quality is a sign of problems in the kitchen. Higgins should and can do better. Disappointing meal.

    We have enjoyed Higgins many times and last night, after seeing the terrific performance of Hamilton, was excellent! Our server had a terrific sense of humor and the food was inventive and delicious. Higgins will remain one of our go-to spots!

    Went to a Higgins before going to a musical. Waiter was very attentive to the timing. Food was excellent and had a great time.

    Higgins is always superb. My lady's ravioli was exceptional and this is coming from someone who isn't terribly fond of truffles. The ribeye was the best and the bread pudding with cherries? Magnificent! And the Cabernet was nothing to sneeze at either.

    Salad was excellent. Pate was some of the best I've ever had. Main course was pathetically skimpy in terms of quantity. I got about 4 oz. of codfish for $45. Also tried the risotto main course and it was not great. Prices are overblown here, although some menu items are truly excellent.

    What a fabulous dinner! My steak was cooked to perfection, my wife's vegetarian dinner also quite tasty.
