Open for dinner Tuesday through Saturday and for its famous Sunday Brunch Buffet, Hoku's at The Kahala Hotel & Resort is heralded for its tantalizing menu featuring global Hawaiian cuisine, — all sourced fresh, sustainable and of the highest quality — serve as the foundation for our menus, a mixture of tradition and ingenuity uniquely adapted for the cosmopolitan guest’s palate. Elegant and refined, yet comfortable and relaxed. Trained in Michelin-starred restaurants around the world, Chef Jonathan Mizukami blends French-influenced cuisine with fresh local flavors.
*Please inform us of any food allergies or special dietary needs at least 72 hrs in advance. Reservations require credit card & must be cancelled at least 48 hrs in advance.

    Enjoy the popular Sunday buffet at Hoku's or in the Veranda lounge under the iconic chandeliers. Experience a new dawn of fresh and classic items such as Signature garlic and rosemary rubbed prime rib of beef, misoyaki butterfish, steamed Dungeness and Snow crab, chilled lobster tail, Mountain View Farm suckling pig, auction-fresh sashimi, and a divine selection of decadent desserts. Price per adult is $110 and child (6-12) $55, plus tax and gratuity. A 20% service charge is added to parties of 5 or more. No-show reservations will be charges the full amount of $110 per person.

    Join us for a joyful evening at Hoku's with curated selection of premium Dassai sake from Japan. Seating will be at 5:30pm. Enjoy the curated 4-course tasting menu paried with some of Dassai’s most sought after selections. Price is 175 plus service charge and tax (For your convenience, an automatic 20% service charge will be added to your final check). Menu is subject to change. Cancellations less than 72 hrs in advance will be charged 90 per person. No-Shows will be charged 175 per person.

    Celebrate Easter with a Sunday buffet at Hoku's or in the Veranda lounge under the iconic chandeliers. Indulge in our wide selection of delicious items and desserts. A glass of sparkling is also included for you to enjoy. Experience a new dawn of fresh and classic items. Reservation available between 9am and 1:30pm. Price per adult is $145 and child (6-12) $59, plus tax and gratuity. A 20% service charge is added to parties of 5 or more. Parking is included. Credit card information required to secure reservation. 72 hr cancelations will incur $70 fee per person. No shows will incur $145 fee per person.

                  Experience was mixed. Service was excellent and the ambiance was great. The main issue was the food. It just wasn’t as special as it should have been. One dish in particular, the Blanquette de veau was as completely wrong. The dish is a very famous French veal stew. Veal shoulder is poached in white wine and served with a white sauce with vegetables and usually rice. What we had was a roasted veal tenderloin and some vegetables with mashed potatoes. Not a stew and nothing slike what was advertised. We were disappointed and the chef should be ashamed of himself. Other courses were better. We also thought the wine pairing was not great. Pretty average and not very interesting wines.

                  The food was spectacular. The servers were efficient and attentive, made every customer feel welcome and at ease. Charlotte and Rynee were charming and gave us wonderful attention.

                  My husband and I went for Sunday brunch to celebrate our 5th wedding anniversary. It's was our first time going to Hoku's. We had a window seating overlooking the ocean. It was very beautiful. The food and service were excellent. Our server was the best. She was very attentive with the most beautiful smile. We will most definitely come back again.

                  昔からホスピタリティ溢れる、良いホテルだと思っていましたが、一昨年のサンデーブランチはイマイチで、今回、行こうかどうしようか迷いました。 でも、行って良かったです。一昨年行った時より、食事もよくなり、サービスも素晴らしかったです。 また、予約時に娘の誕生日祝いだと書いたところ、バースデープレートをいただきました。予期せぬプレゼントでとても嬉しかったです。

                  The food was good but not great, especially for an extremely high price point (over $250 per person). At that price, there are many better options available. I wouldn’t go back.

                  Excellent food and service. Any visit to Honolulu should include a meal here. The view is spectacular of the bay/ocean, and you will enjoy the fine dining and lovely atmosphere!

                  Food quality and service were both top notch. My only complaint is that there were very limited a la carte selections for appetizers, entrees and dessert as the two tasting menus are the primary offerings
