   Hugo's has fantastic food, just like the Chicago Gold Coast location and Gibson's Steak House. The main dining space at the Naperville location looked very nice. Unfortunately for us we were not seated in the main dining space, but in what is clearly an enclosed space that joins Hugo's with other businesses. The space is fine overall but it's just a large open concrete floor, basic tables and wicker like chairs. I had made reservations a couple of weeks in advance and noted on the reservation site that it was my wife's 55th birthday. When we arrived, the hostess was very kind and acknowledged my wife's birthday, but then we were moved out of the main restaurant's dining space into the above mentioned area. I know my wife was disappointed and of course that caused me to be disappointed as well. I understand it's a very popular location and they do their best to get people seated as quickly as they can wherever a table is available and that is appreciated. However, I do feel with reservations made so far in advance and the information of someone's birthday. It just seemed rather dismissive to see this where they chose to. The level of food quality is great and with that you pay a premium price. Being seated in that area does not align with what I would consider a great dining experience where a premium price is paid. Just my two cents. I hope they can do better in the future.

   All around disappointing. This restaurant used to be great. Service was rushing us to the flip the table so hard. Was my kid’s birthday and just a blah experience. Won’t be back.

   My sister in law was in town, so we took her to our favorite restaurant! We love Hugo’s for cool ambiance and great food! And tonight was exceptional as usual! We all had the white fish and it was cooked perfectly. The service was top notch as well. Overall, a great dining experience!!!

   While the food was good, being smashed into a table and bumped, grazed and hit with an elbow was not what I had in mind for an afternoon with family. Changes were made to one of our favorite appetizers and the plating made it difficult to enjoy. Hugo’s was always one of my favorite places but I will need to reconsider.
