Hugo's Frog Bar & Fish House opened its doors in February 1997 in the heart of Chicago's Gold Coast neighborhood, next to sister restaurant Gibsons Bar & Steakhouse. Over 20 years after owners Hugo Ralli and Steve Lombardo set out to open the city's finest seafood restaurant, Hugo's continues to be the destination for premier east and west coast oysters, crudos, frog legs, lobster and seasonal fish and shellfish, in addition to Gibsons Prime Angus and Gibsons Grassfed Australian steaks. An extensive wine list, classic cocktail list and selection of impressive signature desserts accompany the menu of fresh seafood, steaks and chops. Beautiful private dining and events spaces available.

My favorite soup there is Bookbinder, which is only offered on Thursdays.The only small complaint, is the soup never comes out hot enough.Went for lunch & ordered a Club Sandwich, which was delicious. Service, is always stellar.Prices are a bit pricey , but quality is always there.

We were a table of seven, the service could not have been better. The entire staff was very professional and helpful which helped make our party the perfect Sunday afternoon dining experience. An additional treat the food was terrific.

So many mainstay restaurants have declined in food and service quality in recent years but Hugo’s is a rare exception. Everything was outstanding- food, service, atmosphere, etc. Highly recommend.
