Hugo's Restaurant, a Valley staple since 2000, offers California cuisine with a modern, from-scratch flair, featuring whole-food, plant-based ingredients. Especially famous for our brunch, come to Hugo’s to enjoy signature breakfast dishes like "Pasta Mama,” “Desayuno Fuerte,” or our gluten free “Almond Energy Pancakes.” Peanut-free, GMO-free, sustainable, and organic. Choose our cozy dining room, heated enclosed patio, or our outdoor dog-friendly garden area. Conveniently located at Coldwater Canyon Blvd and Riverside Drive, just one block north of the 101 freeway. We have a private parking lot, but there's also tons of street parking available.

  • Asian Spring Rolls

    Vietnamese style spring rolls filled with snow peas, carrots, cucumbers, avocado, kelp noodles, and fresh herbs with a mild sesame-chili dipping sauce. Vegan, vegetarian, gluten free.

    • Fried Pickles

      Dill pickle chips are battered, deep-fried and served with two sauces: ranch and tangy BBQ. Vegan, vegetarian, gluten free.

      • Cauliflower Pakora

        Bite-sized organic cauliflower pieces coated in our signature red lentil batter, fried crispy, and sprinkled with Hugo's seasoning. Served with a side of ranch dressing. Vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free.

        • Nachos

          House-made tortilla chips smothered in mozzarella & cheddar cheese, organic black beans, pico de gallo, guacamole, scallions, Ortega chilies, and a drizzle of honey chipotle. Choose natural chicken or grilled tofu filling. Gluten free. Can be vegan or vegetarian.

          • Garlic Bread

            Ciabatta bread coated in garlic butter with a crispy Parmesan top. Garnished with paprika and fresh parsley. Served with organic marinara dipping sauce.

            • Chicken Strips Basket

              A natural chicken breast coated in our gluten-free batter, fried crispy, and cut into strips. Served with fries and dipping sauce. Choose honey mustard, ranch or marinara.

              • Black Bean Turkey Chili

                Seasoned ground turkey cooked with tomatoes, red peppers, celery, jalapenos, spices, and organic black beans. Garnished with cilantro and tortilla strips. Add melted cheese, sour cream, or chopped red onions for an extra kick! Gluten-free.

                • Organic Chicken & Rice Soup

                  Organic chicken with organic celery, carrots, garlic, onions, fresh thyme and organic brown rice. Gluten-free.

                  • Butternut Squash Soup

                    Roasted butternut squash blended with organic carrots & celery, onions, garlic, fresh thyme, almond milk, and a hint of curry. Topped with toasted pumpkin seeds. Vegan, vegetarian, and gluten free. Contains nuts.

                    • French Onion Soup

                      Traditional French onion soup slow cooked with marsala wine, thyme, garlic, olive oil, and spices. Served with croutons and melted Swiss cheese. Vegetarian, can be vegan or gluten-free.

                      • Vegan Bacon Brussels Sprouts

                        Brussels sprouts sautéed in olive oil with fresh garlic and ginger. Tossed in a balsamic reduction with crispy veggie bacon bits and garnished with parsley. Vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free.

                        Salads

                        All our salad greens are organic. Dressings are all vegan and gluten free. Oil-free dressing options are available.

                        • Mexican Salad

                          Diced grilled chicken breast or herb-marinated organic grilled tofu, romaine lettuce, organic black beans, avocado, olives, pico de gallo and Parmesan cheese and tossed in a caesar dressing. Gluten free, can be vegan, can be vegetarian.

                          • Asian Chopped Salad

                            Grilled chicken breast or marinated organic tofu, julienned red & green cabbage, red bell pepper, jicama, and carrots, mixed with organic baby arugula, green onions, and orange pieces. Tossed in sesame dressing and garnished with toasted almonds. Gluten-free. Can be vegan. Contains nuts.

                            • Power of Green Salad

                              Grilled chicken breast or marinated organic tofu, chopped spinach, organic leafy greens, broccoli, green beans, asparagus, dried cherries, and avocado. Tossed in sherry vinaigrette and topped with toasted sunflower seeds.

                              • Quinoa Beet Salad

                                Sweet cooked beets, carrots, scallions, and organic mixed lettuce tossed with dried cherries, walnuts and gorgonzola cheese in a sherry vinaigrette. Vegetarian, gluten free, can be vegan.

                                • Garden Salad

                                  A base of organic mixed greens and kale with carrots, grape tomatoes, cucumber, and cooked beets in a balsamic vinaigrette. Vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free.

                                  • Caesar Salad

                                    Chopped romaine cut and tossed with garlic-herb croutons and Parmesan cheese. Vegetarian, can be vegan, can be gluten-free.

                                    • Citrus Salad

                                      Grilled chicken breast or marinated organic tofu, shredded spinach & radicchio, fresh oranges pieces, brown sugar walnuts, avocado, Roma tomatoes, and Gorgonzola cheese tossed in our citrus dressing. Contains nuts. Gluten-free. Can be vegan or vegetarian.

                                        GLUTEN FREE!!! For anyone struggling to find a restaurant which offers a complete menu of items from Cubano sandwiches to steak and mashed potatoes, this is your place. We dined at Hugo’s to celebrate a birthday and everyone in our party is dealing with celiac disease. It was a treat to be able to order appetizers without worrying, as well as a host of entrees. If you have dietary restrictions, try Hugo’s for a great meal.

                                        Foodie friend and I each came for hamburgers. The french fries were great, and the Caesar salad had a delicious dressing. Unfortunately, we didn't like the burgers. They were too dense, too compressed, with no taste. I think they should use beef that's 20% fat. Ours didn't have enough fat to be thick and juicy. Too bad. I'll try something else next time.

                                        We've been going to Hugo's for years. The food and service are consistently good and the staff are always very pleasant and accommodating. Be warned, if you order a salad with added salmon the additional cost is over $20. Neither the option to add salmon nor the price are listed on the menu. When we brought this to the attention of the manager he was very accommodating and gave us a partial credit. He that said we were not the first to complain.

                                        Love Hugo’s. It’s our favorite go to restaurant. It has great food for any palette, vegan, vegetarian, carnivore, or omnivore. It’s casual calm atmosphere and the waitstaff is delightful.
