              We made reservations but still had to wait. We were seated in a noisy area near the kitchen despite there being much nicer seats outdoors. I had the coconut seafood chowder, which was fine. My wife had a mushroom ravioli and complained that it was oily. Perhaps we’ve been spoiled by the amazing restaurants in the area, but I’d rate it “meh”.

              3 of the 4 dinners were great. The Mahi Mahi was not cooked properly. Dry and just under whelming. For the price there is far better on the island. Service was good as they were busy.

              First night on island and Hula Grill did not disappoint. Becca was a fantastic server. Coming from Ohio, it takes 13 hours to get to Maui. To say we weee tired and jet lagged would be an understatement. Great experience and food. We have been coming to Hula Grill for years and the consistency is well intact. The Barefoot Bar menu is great too, casual fare but delish!

              I don’t think my martini had a full shot in it - I had 2 and didn’t even feel it. But the pan seared ahi with Asain noodles was excellent. It’s very popular now so you could be eating in a tent in the back instead of with your toes in the sand in the front.

              This is a fun and active restaurant with live music (scheduled), a variety of delicious food and adult beverages. We enjoyed excellent service from Roy, our server, who provided recommendations, stayed attentive and made us feel welcomed. If you’re looking for a quiet, romantic setting, this is not it. It is surely a busy place so I recommend making a reservation. I also recommend giving this restaurant a try!

              Appreciated Roy's good service and thought the food and drinks were delicious (Mai tais, pot stickers, raviolis, grilled fish & veggies, hula pie)!

              Our server, Caitlin, was a cut above. Funny, charming, personable, and professional with her knowledge of the menu, surroundings. Just a delight. The food was fabulous. The only down side and beit my fault. If you have reservations you eat inside. Outside seating near the music is first come first serve with a more casual menu. Apparently on the website it says that, however, I failed to read that part. Would have preferred outside seating. But again then we wouldn’t have had Caitlin. She made it a much better experience.

              Hula Grill is our favorite restaurant on Maui. There is not a bad table in the place. If you are lucky enough to get the patio the view is best but the interior dining room is still open air and has a view of the setting sun. We had a delightful dinner from start to finish. Our server was amazing, she recommended her favorites and we followed them and never regretted it. Best Mai Tais we ever had, all agreed. Seafood stew with coconut broth was so delicious, the amount of seafood for the price is better than anywhere. Pork shank and nut crusted Ono also delicious. We will always go back, usually 3 times per trip!
