   It’s no part of the restaurant we were seated in and out outside the patio area with a group that was extremely boisterous and loud, which was disconcerting, but it wasn’t the problem of the restaurant

   We have been to Il Cortile many times and it’s still one of our all time favorites when visiting Paso. The risotto of the day is the best we have ever had. Every new dish or special is superb. A wonderful restaurant.

   Might be the best Italian restaurant I’ve been to. Better than any of the highly rated (and highly overpriced) Los Angeles spots. The freshness of the ingredients is unparalleled. We started off with the truffle carpaccio, and it absolutely melted in our mouths. It was an otherworldly experience. The grilled octopus and crostini that followed up were spot on. They had us looking around in disbelief. We ended with pork sausage pasta and Chilean sea bass — both so fresh and flaky! The only thing that topped the food was the amazing service by Ivan. He expertly paced everything out for us and gave us some great recommendations. We’re visiting from out of town and might even go back for a second trip. Highly recommend!

   We normally love Il Cortile. This was our 2nd reservation in 3 nights! However, our experience wasn't great this time, for 2 reasons. 1. We didn't get one of our preferred tables due to how busy the restaurant was on a Friday night. Instead we were in a small 2-top along the wall, which we do not prefer. 2. There was an extremely loud woman at a table for 6 that was directly across from us. She was so loud, that here shrieking actually gave me a headache. This restaurant is too small for these outbursts. I don't know how a restaurant handles situations like this, but my wife and I cut our dinner short because of it. Normally, this type of noise doesn't bother me, but we were unable to tolerate it this time. Of course, we will be back, as we love Il Cortile.

   Overall it was a very nice evening. We ordered the Burrata Crostini which was amazing. My wife's Wild Boar was also very good. I ordered the Aragosta with mushrooms, I should have sent it back. The Lobster was soooo over done that it was like rubber bands, great flavor but overdone.

   This is one of the best restaurants in Paso! The food is exceptional and doesn’t disappoint. Every time we visit this our go-to. I highly recommend this restaurant.
