The premise of Alban Vineyards was simply naïve: that people were ready to drink wines that tasted delicious regardless the variety or blend, irrespective of whether they’d heard of the producer, and with no concern for appellation. Beginning with Crystal’s exceptional cocktails and spirit to our waiter’s knowledge and enthusiasm for the food and wine, it was a perfect evening. We particularly appreciated the thoughtful pacing of our courses. We will definitely return!

                                                                  It was New Year’s Eve beautiful downtown Paso Robles packed with thousands of people for celebrating and il Cortelli ran like clockwork. The food is impeccable. Everything was terrific.

                                                                  We make an annual visit to Il Cortile for a special dinner and, while we've never been disappointed, this year was the most amazing! Of the amazing dishes and service I want to call out - Ivan, our server was so helpful and described each dish so well to help us decide - scallop appetizer was devine, cooked so perfectly and tender, served with delicious small sauces of variating flavor profiles - pesto truffle gnocchi was the most pillow-like and light gnocchi I've ever had, the flavor was out of this world - sea bass and branzino each had a flavorful and crispy side, fish was tender and cooked perfectly - osso bucco sets a new standard for that dish Only drawback is if you are seated in the patio it's rather chilly and not as comfortable an area. This was the first year we got to sit inside and it was so much better. Try to get reservations for the dining room! Thank you Ivan and Il Cortile for yet another memorable meal!

                                                                  Unimpressive. Ribeye was a little small and came overcooked. Ravioli sauce was not as advertised. Soup flavor was good but texture was like baby food. Branzino was prepared well but the potato leak puree was very mediocre. Drink menu was uncreative, like you need the menu to tell you you can order a standard old fashion, martini, negroni, etc. Service was adequate but not impressive. For this price tag, I expect way better! They must be comfortable with their regular clientele and not seeking an elevated experience. Many better options in Paso like In Bloom, Della's, and Somm's Kitchen, or make the drive to SLO and try Giuseppe's for a traditional Italian restaurant that delivers a better value and product.

                                                                  Fresh sea bass and grilled fish were really good. Server told us all desserts were made in house. We order one tiramisu and it tasted a day old except for the fresh basil leave and a sugar powder sprinkle on top of it. Not impressed when this Italian rest is expensive and we end up with a stale tiramisu. Gave a 4/5 star.
