Il Terrazzo Carmine, owned and operated by Carmine Smeraldo, is one of Seattle's true dining anomalies - a highly successful restaurant with unfailingly high standards and a loyal, sophisticated clientele. The cuisine has been acclaimed as Seattle's best by the media and more importantly, by local diners.
Il Terrazzo Carmine is located in historic Pioneer Square - nestled in an urban-renewed alley with entrances through the vintage lobby on First Avenue or through the delightful courtyard in the back. Since 1984, Carmine Smeraldo's classic Italian restaurant has been where the locals have chosen to return over and over again. From the Carpaccio Di Bue and Spaghettini Dell 'Ortolano for lunch to the Suprema Di Pollo Farcita and Zuppa Di Pesce for dinner you will know you have gone to a place where excellence is a way of life.     Always delightful to dine with wonderful Italian cuisine and service in the classic space. We’ve been patrons since the 1980s and we keep returning.

    Great food and service as always!!! We got the bolognese as a starter for the table to share and two people had the veal chops special and enjoyed it immensely

    Eric our server was a tru professional. He new his menu and specials like the back of his hand and treated us like we were fin first class, but with a good sense of humor. Even Jasmine the bartender was extremely welcoming and made me a wonderful cocktail. Get the veal! Amazing!

    What an incredible place! From the moment we walked in the door their attentive staff ensured that we had the best experience. The recommendations from the waiter were amazing. The food was all cooked to perfection along with the perfect timing of dishes coming out. We were able to enjoy a 3 hour long multicourse meal of which my wine glass never reached empty due to their diligent staff. I would highly recommend this place for a nice relaxing night out.
