Imoto (little sister) is Buccan's version of an Izakaya. The Japanese Izakaya's were traditionally down-to-earth gathering places to go get a drink and something to eat after work. Imoto Room is an extension of Buccan's small plate - big flavor concept with Japanese and other Asian influence. The menu offers items ranging from innovative sushi & sashimi to Clay Conley's interpretations of other Asian favorites.

Food is always excellent and this was no exception. The reason for 4 out of 5 stars was the noise and a few orders a bit wrong. Server was very nice but harried.

Love this place even though so noisy but it’s a psychodrama to get a reservation. Been coming here for years and getting too old to deal with that. The good news is that soon enough we will be hard of hearing😆

FOOD: Since I was treating my daughter to sushi for the first time, I wanted to give her an authentic experience with the food. We were excited to be there. When the sushi arrived the fish was beautiful, and tasted wonderful, but the rice was so bad, you could literally ricochet it off the walls. I have been eating sushi for over 40 years and have never encountered rice this bad. SERVICE: The staff were pleasant. Our waitress was very good and made sure that I did not get charged for the food that I didn't get. However, when the manager came over, he was clearly not happy to be pulled away from whatever he was doing, and he did not seem to care about our experience. The rice was still on the place for him to see and touch, but he said nothing and left abruptly and made no offer to take anything off the bill. SEATING: Tight seating. We arrived early for dinner. The restaurant was mostly empty, but they seated the customers right next to each other, so there was no privacy in my complaint. The look of consternation in the eyes of the waitress probably had more to do with her not wanting the other customers to hear what I was saying about the rice, but they should not seat people so closely together. OVERALL: The fish was excellent -wish I just ordered sashimi- but the rice was the worst. Maybe the guy in charge of rice was having a bad night, but the sushi chef should have known better. Maybe he assumed Americans are stupid about how the rice should be, but it reflected poorly on him and Imoto -especially at the prices they charge. I will not be back.

Service impeccable! The food outstanding. Great room, dark, moody and bit loud but lends to more intimate vibe. Loved everything.

Service is always impeccably warm and professional, the food exquisite and sadly the noise level is a tad too much… but that never stops us from returning because all else is wonderful!!

Everything was delicious. We had the duck tacos, fried rice hamachi and double salmon roll. Service was great too. Can’t wait to return!
