Overall it’s a nice dining experience. It gets a lot of hype in pensacola, but I think it’s bc lack of options at this level.
service was nice and friendly, not polished or knowledgable for fine dining. If I’m paying fine dining prices, replace my silverware each course do not take it off my plate and put it in the table. And when i ask a question about the food maybe have an answer on preparation or sourcing to answer what sets it apart from somewhere else (the steak is quite pricey- still don’t know why - it was good, but not sure $ is justified)
Ambiance - the lighting is weird. the restaurant set up is,to me, at this point, is very dated. The music choice was nice and modern but the speakers were old bose speakers not even placed well
The food presentation - the first course again, nice and delicious, but the plating was oversized. (Trying to be artsy maybe, just didn’t fit). My entree while again, very delicious, was presented and plated ridiculously. I ordered the duck ( prepped perfectly and love the anise rub) it was cut in half facing up kind of like a sandwich or burrito would be. There was minimal parsnip puree which i would have liked just a bit more of or maybe i just couldn’t see it or access it because if the mound of brussels spouts on my plate, there were so many they were falling off the plate it was laughably obnoxious.
Dessert - i took to go it was absolutely fantastic, even to go, i got the nutella ice box
Cocktails great- took a bit to get to the table, but I think too many people we seated and ordering at the same time
Wine list - decent
Overall nice, I just expected a bit more for all the hype it gets.
