   Arriving, you could nearly imagine being in Japan, a place we’ve visited many times over the past 40 years. The greetings & thanks shouted in Japanese and the decor. An amazing selection of Sake and Japanese whiskey. The gyozas were very good as was the Wagyu. The smoked ribs were good as well. However over cooked shrimp on a skewer can hardly be considered Tempura. But the thing we didn’t appreciate was they rushed everything out together! That does not happen in Japan or any decent restaurant. In 15mins all your plates are in front of you. Talk about fast food! Aleysa took good care of us.

   Went for birthday, outstanding food, we shared and had the bento box, the ishiyaki, grilled advocado, ebi tempura, the salmon nori maki and finished off with the seasonal fruit Sando. Our sever Sterling was very knowledgeable on Sake and recommended the fruit flight and we were not disappointed which made our experience even more enjoyable. Overall we highly recommend.

   A delightful dinning experience. The food was delicious and served beautifully. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. The atmosphere and setting was jaw dropping. Highly recommend.

   Excellent lunch: cucumber and avocado salad, sashimi, crispy spicy tuna, hot rock beef and nigori sake. Service was friendly but pretty slow at times. Dishes were well spaced out. Very good!

   This was my second trip there. The food is generally at a very high quality level, creative, fresh, delicious. They ran out of my entree and didn't inform me until I had waited a consderable length of time. So I reordered and waited again. A lot of waiting. They took care of my drink, but was generally disappointed that they ran out of my option well before closing time. I will be back -- assuming it was a 'glitch'. Last time was great.

   What an amazing experience! The setting was gorgeous. We sat outside where it was heated with the Mountain View. Our waiter gave great recommendations and excellent service. The food was the best Japanese I’ve ever eaten! 10/10 would highly recommend. Perfect for a special occasion or date night!

   Always a great experience. Our waitperson Luna was wonderful. She knew so much about the food and sake and was a delight to talk to. Our food choices were wonderful. Spivey tuna on crispy rice, tempura shrimp, fried oysters, the special of grilled yellow tail collar. I could go on, but you get the point. The food is great . Service is terrific. And price of the meal a fair value. We’re locals who always take our out of town guests to Izanami for a wonderful dining experience.

    Everything from the entry to the decor to the staff to the food - even to the bathrooms! - was exquisite! We loved it so much that we came back for lunch after having dinner there the night before!
