Izanami serves Japanese Izakaya fare: seasonally inspired small-plates meant for sharing, accompanied by the best sake list in the west. Please note that while we do our best to accommodate your seating, we cannot guarantee requests. We have been chosen by OpenTable diners as one of the 100 best restaurants for outdoor dining in America. Heaters and blankets assure you of a comfortable, safe dining experience year-round; dress warmly for optimal outdoor dining.

*NOTICE ALL GUESTS*
Unfortunately we have chosen to close down for December 2-3 all day and for December 4th for lunch. We will be opening for Dinner on the 4th starting at 5:00pm. This is due to renovations we will have to do to our kitchen.

    You have reserved a true traditional Japanese experience floor seating (with no well under the table for legs). Remove your shoes, and take a step onto our tatami room. A garden window view completes this unique dining experience. This is a unique experience, but it can be challenging for those with limited flexibility. Please let us know in advance if you need to change these reservations, as we will not be able to offer other options upon arrival. Children under 10 are not recommended.

    Wonderful bday for my sister-in-law. It was her first time at Izanami and the food, wait staff and ambience were perfect for her 55th day.

    As always just fabulous... Joe was super present and respectful. The food is amazing - the sake spectacular. Truly my favorite treat for myself.

    I love Izanami - however I feel the food quality has diminished in the last 6+ months … too much fat in dishes, not the right temp, not sure what happened. That said, I always enjoy being there :)

    Our party of 4 was seated promptly in a spacious, comfortable booth. Two of us had been there many times before, so we opted to let them order lots of dishes to share. Yum! Probably the tenderest, most delicious pork ribs ever, dishes of crab, shrimp, beef on a hot rock, noodles, sashimi, brussels sprouts; too many dishes to count, but every one wonderful. Each server, employee was polite, friendly and observant, seemingly pleased to be there. A winning establishment for sure!

    Had a wonderful birthday night. Sat at bar. Sake sushi excellent. My husband loved his Prix fixe dinner. Only downside is you probably have to drive there. They say Uber not dependable. We tried to hire driver/taxi service but it was $70 round trip.
