J. Gilbert's is an "upscale casual" steakhouse serving prime-aged beef cooked over a mesquite wood-fired grill. The flavor of the steaks were good and cooked to the correct temp… however I was looking for a thicker cut steak- so that was a little disappointing. Potatoes au gratin are yum! Cooked well with each layer seasoned just right.. but the amount of asparagus was sparse. Carrot cake was the highlight with the pecan praline filling a different innovation (at least to me! Tasted like a molassss filling) that was surprisingly very pleasant… Could have always used more of that cream anglaise though. Thank you for a lovely time

Dinner reservations at 7:00pm with my family. Ordered rib eye, lamb chops and crab cakes. Ribeye and lab were requested medium. Rib eye was tuff and chewy and lab chops were too rare to eat.

the food and service was amazing. our waiter was so kind and helpful. a couple of us ordered the Chilean Sea Bass , unfortunately they'd run out so we got the 8 ounce filet mignon & let me tell you it did not disappoint it was amazing and buttery 👌🏾🙏🏾🫶🏾‼️so I will be goin back in the new year for a Spring Time Celebration 🎊🎉🎉 if you all go I hope you have an amazing experience like we did. Happy New Year🥂

I was so happy that they were open on Christmas Day albeit with a more limited menu. Unfortunately, my prime rib was cold and my baked potato was lukewarm…

We had our Christmas dinner there. Most delicious steak I've had in years! The veggies were on point; and wedge salad was perfect. Service was great and unobtrusive. Wonderful experience all around!
