J. Gilbert's is an "upscale casual" steakhouse serving prime-aged beef cooked over a mesquite wood-fired grill. Guests enjoy various cuts of steak, fresh seafood (including award-winning crab cakes) & other house made favorites like the Maytag Bleu potato chips & Chocolate Velvet Cake. The cozy atmosphere includes fire side dining, rich wood, brick & soft lighting where you can enjoy a quiet table or host a large party. The extensive martini & wine list offers the perfect compliment to an excellent meal delivered with attentive service. J. Gilbert's is open for dinner 7 days a week. Reservations are recommended.

    The thanksgiving dinner was excellent. Service was great, It most definitely was a nice experience. We will be returning to order off the regular menu.

    We sat in the bar area this time and even though the restaurant was almost full you could still carry on a conversation and feel as though you were the only ones there. The ambiance and service were impeccable as always. We have been going here for years and it remains our favorite place to dine in all of Columbus. Extremely well managed. Always an enjoyable experience.

    We had the traditional Thanksgiving dinner with Turkey, dressing, mashed and sweet potatoes, Green beans and Cranberry Relish. Everything including the meal, the salad before and the Chocolate Cake for dessert was excellent in quality and quantity.

    Best steaks we’ve had in a long time. We’ve been here numerous times and always a pleasure. Server was efficient and super nice. Great time.

    Food and service were excellent as always. J. Gilbert's is our favorite date night spot. It was interesting that I had booked a reservation in the bar and the hostess seemed confused by our request to sit in the bar area.

    We enjoyed a quiet meal here. Sorry that they no longer have the small 6 oz. filet and seafood combo and didnt want a large steak. The smallest was 10 oz . Id recommend sharing the huge casear salad. I had the pork chop that had good flavor but a little dry. Nice wine list. Very good service.
