J. Gilbert's is an "upscale casual" steakhouse serving prime-aged beef cooked over a mesquite wood-fired grill. Guests enjoy various cuts of steak, fresh seafood (including award-winning crab cakes) & other house made favorites like the Maytag Bleu potato chips & Chocolate Velvet Cake. The cozy atmosphere includes fire side dining, rich wood, brick & soft lighting where you can enjoy a quiet table or host a large party. The extensive martini & wine list offers the perfect compliment to an excellent meal delivered with attentive service. J. Gilbert's is open for dinner 7 days a week. Reservations are recommended.

    One of the worst experiences I have ever had. We were seated 40 minutes after our reservation time, and with out much of a waiting area it was either wait arm to arm with strangers or outside in the cold. Also, the fire alarm was going off throughout the entirety of our meal. Food was good but I did not pay that much money to listen to the fire alarm. Nothing was done to compensate for the terrible time.

    The steaks were a little dryer than normal. The server basically told us he was busy and not to expect timely service out of the gate because he was sat right before us. He was good overall but that was off putting. They were out of spinach dip because a party ordered one per person the night before. The server didn’t realize we had multiple gift cards so he had to come back to the table, refund our credit card and then reapply.

    We had a good experience. I selected through open table that we were celebrating an anniversary and they decorated the table ahead of time, which we thought was very cute! The steaks were cooked well and the food was tasty. We recommend.

    Very chaotic, out of control environment. 35 minute wait for my 6:00 reservation and then they sat us in the bar area. Not sure if this is normal or a fluke. Actual service was pretty good and the food was also good, but not as good as the price.

    Mediocre food. Steaks don’t have a lot of flavor outside of the A1 sauce. Fire alarms went off for a long period. Bitter cocktails. So many better steakhouses in Columbus. Wouldn’t recommend

    Server was terrific. Food was excellent as always. Only negative is that a foursome was seated across from us and one of them was very loud. Better once their food was delivered.

    Steak cooked as asked! Scallop dinner not hot but tasty as always. Friendly server & birthday acknowledgment was great! We rarely miss birthday dinners at J.Gilberts!
