J. Gilbert's is an "upscale casual" steakhouse serving prime-aged beef cooked over a mesquite wood-fired grill. Guests enjoy various cuts of steak, fresh seafood (including award-winning crab cakes) & other house made favorites like the Maytag Bleu potato chips & Chocolate Velvet Cake. The cozy atmosphere includes fire side dining, rich wood, brick & soft lighting where you can enjoy a quiet table or host a large party. The extensive martini & wine list offers the perfect compliment to an excellent meal delivered with attentive service. J. Gilbert's is open for dinner 7 days a week. Reservations are recommended.

    Dined here for the special occasion of New Year’s Eve & was disappointed in the quality of food. My entree was the Seafood Mixed Grill - 2 scallops, 4 shrimp & a small crab cake with a side of mashed potatoes & asparagus for $44. Had the shrimp & scallops not been overcooked, it may have been an acceptable meal. It tasted as if it had been precooked or spent too much time under a warmer. My partner ordered the 8 oz. filet and basically gave it a “meh” review. Sorry that we spent the money we did. The server was friendly but rushed. Tough evening to enjoy a celebratory meal. Probably won’t be back.

    We have eaten here on several occasions but tonight for New Year's Eve it was just a bad experience. Our food was not good we had to send this filet mignon back because of the gristle, order drinks we never got and had to ask for the salad course and dessert course on our fixed menu Very disappointed

    We come to this restaurant quite frequently. Overall very good; this time around not exceptional because service was a little slow and they were out of ribs, which is one of the entrees I look forward to.

    My wife and I have been using J Gilbert’s for special occasions several times a year for over 10 years and have always received five star treatment. Unfortunately, this dinner experience really missed the mark! The food was amazing as always, however, the service today was comparable to a Texas Roadhouse. The server did not offer specials, our waters remained empty for the majority of our meal, my wife was not offered any wine refills, our meals were served with no knives and we had to ask to receive them, and our server was pretty much not present for the meal. I am not typically hyper critical of my dinning experience but when you spend over one hundred dollars on a two person meal you do expect a special experience. It did not ruin my wife’s birthday but did tarnish the evening experience.

    Staff in general was amazing, as always! Food was properly prepared / served, wine was perfectly chilled and lighting was on point.

    Food was very good, and prepared properly, the waitress was excellent and provided a good experience for the evening. Have been going here for over 10 years, is a go to place for a great meal and experience.

    We enjoyed our time and dinner this evening. Our meals and cocktails were delicious as always. Patrick was excellent. He took very good care of me and my guest all evening. We will be back soon. Thank you
