Jack Stack Barbecue originated in Kansas City in 1957, by Russ Fiorella in a traditional storefront barbecue, with a modest selection of 5 or 6 items. Jack Fiorella, the eldest son, worked with his father until 1974 when he decided to branch off and start Fiorella's Jack Stack of Martin City.

Great experience. This restaurant was recommended and my first time in Kansas. We were visiting from San Antonio,TX. Very expressive. Had made reservations and arrived a bit early and we were seated promptly. Would definitely recommend to others.

Our pre Christmas meal (Saturday before) was fantastic. Even though it was a busy day and the chiefs game had just let out everything was running smoothly and efficiently at JS Overland park. From online reservation to how we were greeted and seated, the wait staff, the customers, everything was lovely. Everyone seemed to be having a great time. Such a lovely experience. Our food was amazing.

Julie was our server. She was very personable and attentive with us. She gave us plenty of time to enjoy our cocktail and appetizer before ordering dinner entrées. She continued to check in with us and make sure we were doing OK and didn’t need anything else. She was very professional, and we enjoyed having her as our server.

I gathered with 3 old friends. The service was attentive and the food was delicious. We drank good wine and enjoyed the dinner. The only suggestion I have for improvement is to work on noise reduction. Less background noise would have enriched our experience.
