Jacques Brasserie is a relaxing sanctuary deep in the heart of the Upper East Side. Low key and inviting, this two-room restaurant and bar serves classic French dishes amongst dark wooden walls adorned with vintage poster advertisements and bohemian scenes a la Toulouse-Lautrec.

Open seven days a week, Jacques Brasserie serves lunch, dinner and weekend brunch.

Our chef creates everything in house, producing classic dishes such as French Onion Soup, Escargot, Steak Frites, Poulet Roti, Salade Nicoise and our most popular dish, Moules Frites.

Committed to serving the finest local and seasonal products, prepared in a stylish yet simple manner, a meal at Jacques Brasserie will captivate your senses.

Jacques is my little breath of Paris around the corner. I’ve been going for years and it’s always great. Pate, escargot, steak frites always amazing. Really great wine selection too.

While I have hsd dinner st Jacques a number of times, this was my first lunch experience. As always the food and service were impeccable. The overall ambiance and vibe brought me back to my dining experiences in small Parisian cafes. I will most certainly continue to ho to Jacques for both lunch and dinner.

the front room has atmosphere but is cramped while the back room is less cozy and less appealing...banquette are comfortable service outstanding with Manager Kevin supervising well trainEd team with Frenchman Enzo notable Onion soup and frisee salad are authentic. the duck confit was ample and served on a bed of garlicky polenta. boeuf bourgignon with mashed potatoes and tasty sauce was terrific creme brulee rounded out the meal and was so good we were tempted to double up. decent selection of mid-level wines especially the reds

Always reliably excellent bistro French dishes. Escargot are perfect every time. Love their specials and moules and frittes!

I have been here for lunch and dinner many times but this lunch was so awful that I was embarrassed. The restaurant was empty and basically no service at all. Additionally the food was not as good as in the past. Not sure I will try again especially for lunch.

Went for brunch. The French Toast and the ham and cheese omelet were both excellent. Very nice menu, good service, and a cozy environment. Will definitely go back for brunch!

Wonderful neighborhood brasserie. The food is always delicious, the service is always warm and courteous and efficient and the atmosphere is warm, cozy and quite Parisian.
