Jake's is a casual, upscale European-style bistro nestled in a secluded courtyard at the epicenter of the Mid-Century Uptown design district of Palm Springs. Much like the architectural and style artisans that surround it, Jake’s takes cues from the past with a nod to the future in the kitchen and behind the bar. Classics are given a surprising twist while new flavor combinations excite the palate. Likewise wines come to us from both New and Old worlds. Of course, save room for something from our signature dessert case! Since 2007, Jake’s has offered al fresco dining as well as seating in our cozy dining room. So join our friendly, approachable and knowledgeable staff for lunch, dinner, or weekend brunch!

    Great menu- a lot of variety- recommend the meatloaf and the lamb. Incredible drinks & deserts as well. Our front patio table was perfect for people watching and enjoying the view.

    Eat in the patio or the bar area. It was very nice. Food was good, and well prepared. Service was spotty. Very friendly, but missed the mark a bit. Took a long time to get drinks, but then the main course came out before we were even finished with the appetizers. But the atmosphere and friendliness of the staff made up for the shortcomings.     The food was very good, served very quickly. I was able to substitute asparagus for bok choy on the salmon dish. The Manhattan was perfect, and the brownie dessert to die for. But the best part? Our sweet young waiter, who is here in Palm Springs, studying to get his Masters in hospitality. He was a great conversationalist, and took care of our every need while the restaurant was gearing up to full throttle for the evening. He will no doubt succeed.

    As always Jakes never disappoints As palm springs best restaurant we had an amazing dinner Service outstanding Cocktails exciting Food.scrumptious Calamari to start. Crab cakes Chicken piccata. Perfect like i was in rome Fetttucine bolognese. Like i was in florence Ty Jakes Ps new reno place looks amazing

    Good meal, however we were seated in the front room with the door open. It got a bit chilly before we were finished.

    Wonderful to see the expanded areas at Jake's. And to see how well they blend with the existing places. New host area is especially welcome. The lanai's improvements are great, too. Attentive service and friendly folks.

    We were seated in the "indoor dining" area as it was cool out. This area was minimalist and not upscale as the restaurant portrays itself. A lack of ambiance was notable. The outdoor areas are much nicer and recommended. Food was mixed. Good sauces on entrees. Calamari was just OK, needed more creativity and flavors. Cocktails were the best part of this expensive dinner. Service was OK, and she came quickly for drinks and appetizer orders. Apps came very fast but drinks didn't arrive until we finished our apps. We had to seek out our server to order dinner. Not much follow-up during the meal. All in all, too expensive for what we got - won't be going back.

    A Palm Springs favorite and the new owners have renovated AND expanded the restaurant to add more tables. Much improved use of available space. Quaint outdoor patio with a seven seat bar which is great for pre-dinner cocktails and dining off the full menu. Ms. Nada (behind the bar) has worked there for five years, is absolutely delightful, mixes perfect cocktails and delivers warm and friendly service.

    Ahi Tuna salad was mediocre. Undressed lettuce, with very few toppings. Tuna splayed on top with spare, flavorless yellow glop. Not even diner quality. BLTA was ordinary, not well constructed, which is what is most important with a simple sandwich. Not even close to standard of prior owners. So disappointing.

    Jake's is a comfortable local place with popular outdoor seating. It is, however, rather expensive for lunch and 1 cocktail. For 2 people, the check came to $100 for sandwiches & and an alcoholic drink each. I can go to Spencer's for a full 3 course meal for that price.
