    We’ve actually never been to Jak’s for brunch and really enjoyed it. The food was delicious, the service was great. We sat in the back of the main dining room and found that the sound was a little bit louder than we would prefer. The menu has changed somewhat. We found this out because two of our party wanted steak for breakfast —and our server told us about the new menu. Sized and sides have shifted….but the stars of the show —the steaks —were prepared to perfection, outstandingly well—and we will return for that. The blackened salmon sandwich was top notch, the quinoa bowl with top sirloin (prepped “blue”) was devoured, as were the two filet and eggs brekkies.

    Jaks is a staple in Issaquah and since they opened up reservations it has been easier to get a table. Service was on point and the Beef Wellington was delicious.

    We were here tonight to celebrate my husbands birthday and had a great time. I was very happy to see the panko Parmesan crusted halibut back in the menu! Even with a packed restaurant for Holidays it was reasonably quiet so we could talk. It was a bit dark to read the menu with these older eyes, but turned on phone flashlight for assistance. Only disappointment was that everything (except potato option) is a la carte now. This used to be the distinguishing factor that put Jak’s above all other steakhouses.

    I want the Old Jaks back... I get things are more expensive; but $27 for 3 tiny scallops that were burnt. Small dinner entree portions for the dollar amount. And food was just ok. Left hungry and just not sure when we will be returning.

    Salads & steaks were great; Apple Cobbler mediocre; service was friendly and efficient; when it came time to pay the bill, however, the server handed me a device to select the tip amount (choices started at 20%) and stood over me while I decided. That is a no-no at a classy place so is probably all you need to know.

    Jak’s is always a great dinner. Steak cooked to order. Tasty accompaniment and drinks. Recommended!
