Artistically designed with unique sculptures, Javier's Crystal Cove provides guests with ocean views in a cozy, contemporary atmosphere to enjoy authentic Mexican cuisine. It opened its doors in 2008 on Newport Beach and is conveniently close to the Crystal Cove Shopping Center. This restaurant offers guests an upscale dining experience with such entrees as the Maine lobster enchilada topped with Monterey jack cheese and grilled chicken breasts braised in chipotle sauce. Javier's Crystal Cove serves a variety of fresh seafood dishes, appetizers and delicious desserts. It has a full bar that features numerous tequilas, cocktails, beers and wine. Javier's Crystal Cove also offers outdoor dining. It accepts reservations over the phone and online.

I'll start by saying that we had initially had a reservation for 5, however 3 members of our party could not make it. Instead of seating us in the main dining area, they put us in a booth near the bar area. The table was so low and close to the bench seating that my husband could barely fit. Instead of sitting at that table we moved ourselves to the bar which was much more comfortable. The service was ok. It was definitely not service that I would have expected from a place with the reputation that Javier's has. I ordered the camarones rancheros, and my husband ordered the tomahawk pork chop. Both were so over cook they were dry and tough to chew. I think I had 5 shrimp on my plate along with some tomato wedges and their take on a ranchero sauce. I finished my shrimp and I was still hungry. (I ordered a $6.00 side of Mexican rice to help fill the void). We think they knew that my husbands pork chop was overcooked because after they served it to him they came out a few minutes later with a sauce that they said should "compliment" the pork chop. I had really high hopes for this restaurant, and to say I was disappointed would be an understatement.

It was really good experience!! I had read reviews prior to going and a lot of them were bad but when I went it was like the opposite of all the other reviews. Had perfect service, good greeting and was sat right away in the table I had requested. 5 stars Forsure!

I was actually shocked at the size of the salad we ordered. It was minuscule and most of the ingredients were in short supply in the salad which was pretty much all lettuce.

Views/Vibes Amazing! Drinks, amazing. Unfortunately the service here was awful. Our server was so rude :(

I took my daughter for her bday and reusted an ocean view. The hostess made sure e had one and also wished my daughter a happy bday. The food was excellent.

We traveled from Australia and was lucky enough to dine at Javier’s Crystal Cove restaurant. My opinion, this is the best restaurant in the world. The service, ambience and food, everything was perfect. The vibe was so happening. We will return each time we return to the USA.

Overall not what I expected. Loud, chicken breast was bland. Drinks were small, mostly ice, but pricey. Not intimate at all. Not the place to go for romance. More like a club vibe. Loud music. Hard to converse. Tables are wide. You feel far apart.

First timer. Had reservations at 10 p.m on Friday night and the restaurant was packed. The food and drinks are pricey, but strong and delicious. Would definitely return. We were celebrating my birthday and the server did acknowledge it by bringing a vanilla ice cream scoop with fruit and a candle.
