Please note; we only take reservations up to one week in advance.

With Broadway's staggered start times, things get tricky, so if you're desired time is unavailable online, please give us a call, as we hold a certain number of tables for phone reservations only. For parties of six or more, please call the restaurant directly.

Since 1965, Joe Allen has been a quintessential New York restaurant serving a classic American menu in the heart of the Theater District. Just two blocks from Times Square, it has been a favorite of Broadway performers, locals, and tourists for almost 50 years.

We begin taking reservations seven days in advance starting at midnight online and at 11 a.m. over the phone.

Because of staggered theatre times we can only guarantee reservations made online for one-and-a-half hours for parties of two, and two hours for parties of three or more.

From arriving, we were greeted by amazing staff. The food was excellent and all the servers were kind, courteous and welcoming. Food was delicious. Thank you for a lovely evening

Joe Allen was the perfect spot for our groups pre- theater lunch. The food was delicious but our waiter was the BEST! Very attentive and funny personality knew exactly what we needed. I wish I could remember his name because I would call him out! Timeless spot!

Joe Allen is the most NYC centric restaurant on the row. The service is always superb and staff are fun and attentive. The best banana cream pie in town! The new pepperoni chicken parm is out of this world!

Joe Allen’s never disappoints…excellent food and drink…and love the space/decor. Hannah, our server, was delightful and efficient. An institution that has aged well…long may it continue!!

Always a classic great restaurant but younger staff is robotic and transactional... no try at customization, personalization or true connection with customers. It was an important birthday and there was no generosity toward that... just "order a dessert - only ones we offer - and we'll stick a candle in it" then bring you the bill.
