Please note; we only take reservations up to one week in advance.

With Broadway's staggered start times, things get tricky, so if you're desired time is unavailable online, please give us a call, as we hold a certain number of tables for phone reservations only. For parties of six or more, please call the restaurant directly.

Since 1965, Joe Allen has been a quintessential New York restaurant serving a classic American menu in the heart of the Theater District. Just two blocks from Times Square, it has been a favorite of Broadway performers, locals, and tourists for almost 50 years.

We begin taking reservations seven days in advance starting at midnight online and at 11 a.m. over the phone.

Because of staggered theatre times we can only guarantee reservations made online for one-and-a-half hours for parties of two, and two hours for parties of three or more.

Old school great drinks, food and service. Great martinis, burgers and sautéed spinach. Wonderful servers and close to theatres.

place is the same for 35 years I've been going there .Its wonderful and welcoming . food last night was poor. meatloaf was pretty bad. my friend liked here burger very much. Should have had that

We had a nice lunch with friends. Our waiter asked if we were seeing a show and was attentive to our needs without rushing us. The food was delicious and I would definitely return.

My friend and I dined at the bar and enjoyed a wonderful meal in an iconic spot. The service was great, and our bartender Chris made the experience memorable. The La Scala chipped salad is the best salad of all time. The vibe is perfect for broadway lovers or just hungry people who want a nice chill vibe.

The food, service, and overall experience never disappoint at Joe Allen's. It has become my pre and post theater restaurant of choice. The chocolate dessert should not be missed.
