Welcome to Joe Muer Seafood, Detroit's premiere seafood restaurant. We proudly continue a tradition of dining and service excellence that began in 1929. Enjoy classic fresh fish and creative seafood specialties, sparkling service, and the best riverfront views in Detroit.

**Please review our DRESS CODE prior to arrival**
Business casual/Professional attire is required in all areas of the restaurant for all guests.

    Absolutely fantastic experience at Chuck Bennetts Brunch. The food menu was unbelievable and the atmosphere was amazing. You have to experience these events.

    Let me start by saying, I had reservations for 7:30 PM. We were not seated, until 8 PM. Once we were seated, we had a server come over to take our drink orders, he did not return. After some time went by I went looking for him, instead of him returning, another server came to service our group. He was a great server, however, we didn’t receive our drinks until after probably 830. We received our appetizers after 9 PM and we did not receive our entrées until around 10 o’clock. We did not leave the restaurant until after 11 PM, mind you they close at 10 PM. I am highly disappointed in the service that we received to make matters worse, our seating was not good, even though reservations were made. We were seated exactly by the kitchen, where it was noisy and we can see them cooking, dropping things, etc. This was my birthday celebration and I was highly upset!

    The service is exceptional, the atmosphere was lovely and lively with live music playing while you dine . It was a great experience. I’m looking forward to my next visit!

    Had high hopes for a Detroit institution, but it dropped nearly every ball. We had an early seating at 545 and it was nearly empty, so we thought that it would be smooth. It was still maddeningly slow for drinks, a single app (poorly executed calamari), and a very simple dinner for four. Items that were order simply never arrived (soup, wine), and it was an hour and fifteen before we saw entrees. Also, the manager’s old school walk around glad handing routine is tired and impotent, as he didn’t seem to be managing anything at all. And while I always tip at least 20%, and I know that our server really was trying, it’s pretty presumptuous for Muers to just slap on 20% automatically for a four top. Save your dough and go elsewhere.

    Our annual start of the Christmas Holidays dinner was at Joe Muer. It never lets us down. Our group of 6 had excellent service and, as always, excellent food.

    First taking whole family and assumed the piano player would always be there. No player and no piano changed ambiance for us for sure. Service impeccable as always.

    This was an amazing experience at a classic seafood restaurant. We sat at the bar, which allowed full menu service. We were able to watch the staff prepare oysters and sushi in front of us. The food was all incredible. There was also a live piano player, who was decent. Overall, this was a great evening with my wife.

    The service was very slow. We received 2 out of 4 appetizers and then rushed into our main course. We were charged for the appetizers that we did not receive but didn’t notice until the follow morning. We have been to Joe Muer’s several times and this was the worst service that we received. Hoping that our next visit will be a better one.
