Although this is not known as a vegan restaurant, my fiancée and I enjoyed a very tasty meal. The ambience was good as well as the service. The food was delicious but in smaller portions sizes consistent with this type of restaurant.

We have come here many times but this night wasn’t spectacular. The salad was ok, the entrees were well prepared (my steak was cooked perfectly) but for the cost this should be expected. Our service was slow and although our server got us what we needed they didn’t really engage with us. Not rude in any way, but not particularly friendly - we had a birthday in our party and would have liked a smile or something a little cheery . The person busing our table and bringing water and boxes was excellent and attentive. The dessert was really unsatisfactory. The chocolate cake was a little overcooked in the outside making it overly bitter. The crème brule was runny to the point of a thick soup and the poorly carmelized layer on top had no crack at all - to their credit, they refunded us the crème brûlée. The gelato was great! We will definitely come back here again because the food is always on the high side of delicious. It last night wasn’t a win for us.

The menu for Christmas brunch was unrelievably rich so the few choices were difficult for some of our party. One of the entrees, the pasta, was a bit oily. The service was excellent and the Christmas decor was lovely.

Food was spectacular as always. We were seated in a room adjacent to the main dining room, and felt a bit ignored at times. All in all, however, a very pleasant experience.

The Christmas Eve special event dinner was very good. The food was creative and they were very helpful dealing with a dairy intolerance issue. It was a it pricey, but worth it.

We have eaten at John Ash numerous times and celebrated many birthdays, anniversaries, Thanksgivings and have always had good, if not delicious meals. That was not the case tonite. The food was less than mediocre and the price for what we got was not good value. Hopefully, it was a one off experience or we are going to have to stop going there.

It was a perfect dinner. We sat “outside” covered and heated while it was pouring rain. We were warm and cozy. Service was wonderful and food was delicious. Freshest oysters I’ve ever had. My husband and I shared our entrees and both dishes were spectacular. I would totally recommend this place.

Food choices were limited. Food portions were insufficient.( I had halibut, small piece, came with gnocchi, there were 6 small pieces placed in the small seafood shells ). Crème brûlée for dessert was delicious. Service was good. Food is extremely overpriced, for what you get. Seems the restaurant changes their menu frequently. It was a pricey meal. Make sure you check your receipt for the back of the house charge, mine was $10. These kind of nonsense charges are getting out of hand. I have been to this restaurant over the years and always had a nice experience. Don’t let my experience deter you from going there. It’s definitely worth a try.
