Located in an elegantly restored Victorian home in historic downtown Harrisonburg, the Joshua Wilton House is a bed & breakfast and fine dining destination. Executive Chef Tom French uses high quality ingredients sourced from the Shenandoah Valley to create a seasonal menu highlighting our local products . The full service bar includes signature cocktails, craft beers and an award-winning wine list. During the warmer months, seating is available on the outdoor brick patio. In the winter time, warm up in our lounge next to one of the original wood burning fireplaces and enjoy a cocktail before your meal. The Joshua Wilton House is also a private event and wedding venue, so please visit our website or call us for any special occasion you are celebrating!

    Join us in celebration of James Madison University's May Graduation 2025. Enjoy a prix fixe three course dining experience designed by executive chef Tom French with multiple options of appetizers, entrees, and desserts. The final menu will be $75/person. Each reservation requires a deposit of $25/person that applies to the final check. Be sure to select Outdoor or indoor seating. All Outdoor seating will be covered and climate controlled in the event of weather conditions.

    The Joshua Wilton House is simply the best and classiest dining place in Harrisonburg. The stately Victorian era house is beautifully appointed, tastefully decorated. The food is excellent and creatively presented. The wait staff are all discreet, attentive, and friendly without ‘hovering’. Dining at the JWH is always a memorable experience. The duck breast is a favorite, the mussels and scallops, too. Joshua Wilton is THE place to celebrate special occasions. We love it!

    Our server, Steph, made our night so special! She was kind, attentive, and engaging, making us feel truly welcomed from the moment we arrived. The atmosphere at the Joshua Wilton House was warm and inviting, perfect for a memorable dining experience. The food was exceptional—beautifully presented and full of flavor, clearly crafted with care. From start to finish, everything exceeded our expectations.     We had a wonderful evening! The food was glorious, the cocktails were fun and unique, and the staff was truly intentive and friendly! For a culinary experience, this is a must.....

    I adore Joshua Wilton House. Every single time we go, they are thoughtful, complementary, and kind. The food is always great, the drinks are always perfect, and the staff go out of their way to help us to have the experience we wanted or better.
