Located in an elegantly restored Victorian home in historic downtown Harrisonburg, the Joshua Wilton House is a bed & breakfast and fine dining destination. Executive Chef Tom French uses high quality ingredients sourced from the Shenandoah Valley to create a seasonal menu highlighting our local products . The full service bar includes signature cocktails, craft beers and an award-winning wine list. During the warmer months, seating is available on the outdoor brick patio. In the winter time, warm up in our lounge next to one of the original wood burning fireplaces and enjoy a cocktail before your meal. The Joshua Wilton House is also a private event and wedding venue, so please visit our website or call us for any special occasion you are celebrating!

    Join us in celebration of James Madison University's May Graduation 2025. Enjoy a prix fixe three course dining experience designed by executive chef Tom French with multiple options of appetizers, entrees, and desserts. The final menu will be $75/person. Each reservation requires a deposit of $25/person that applies to the final check. Be sure to select Outdoor or indoor seating. All Outdoor seating will be covered and climate controlled in the event of weather conditions.

    Join us for a five course pairing dinner designed by Executive Chef Tom French, paired with 1er Cru and Gran Cru selections from some of Burgundy's finest vineyards. The food menu will be released on March 1st, and the cuisine is inspired by French selections one would enjoy in Bourgogne. The Price of the Meal is $150/person and includes all wine and food selections. A deposit of $25/person is required to make the reservation. Bon Appetit!

    Wonderful cocktail list, wine list, and food. Staff was very attentive. Duck confit was delicious as were the lamb chops!

    There is no restaurant venue in the central Shenandoah Valley area that is any better than the Joshua Wilton House when it comes to the complete package. Excellent food, fine wine list, beautiful venue, and excellent service. And, yes, we do have a number of fine restaurants in the area. None checks all the boxes any better than the JWH. For a small intimate dinner or a celebration for a crowd. Joshua Wilton House is an outstanding choice. It is our go-to for any special gathering.

    Our over all experience during dinner at the Joshua Wilton Place House was very good. Though our reservation was slightly delayed, we were escorted to the bar and, after a few minutes wait, ordered cocktails. We were shown to our table about 20 minutes later. The pre-fixe meal was delicious, well prepared, and fulfilling. Total bill including tax and tip was around $250
