Located in an elegantly restored Victorian home in historic downtown Harrisonburg, the Joshua Wilton House is a bed & breakfast and fine dining destination. Executive Chef Tom French uses high quality ingredients sourced from the Shenandoah Valley to create a seasonal menu highlighting our local products . The full service bar includes signature cocktails, craft beers and an award-winning wine list. During the warmer months, seating is available on the outdoor brick patio. In the winter time, warm up in our lounge next to one of the original wood burning fireplaces and enjoy a cocktail before your meal. The Joshua Wilton House is also a private event and wedding venue, so please visit our website or call us for any special occasion you are celebrating!

    The New Year’s Eve celebration ended up being a super quiet, weird type seated gathering. There was no music, no dancing, no counting down at midnight. It didn’t feel like a celebration at all. One room had a piano player and that was it. A few games in one other room and that was it. Finger food was tasty I counted 4-5 different types that were on rotation, very, very small, a bite literally. I had a ginger bread cocktail and it was excellent. That was an experience I just want to forget.

    Most was good except for noice children and changing a diaper on the dining room floor. Not a very good evening.

    Took my mom to the Joshua Wilton House for her 60th birthday. It was the first time either of us had eaten here. All food was delicious! We had the roasted duck breast and the pan seared scallops. The duck was tender, and the scallops were made in a yummy cream sauce. The desserts were excellent as well. Our waitress was kind and attentive. The house was still decorated for Christmas, which gave it a nice ambience. We’d definitely eat there again!

    Great food and atmosphere. Only thought is the wine by the glass is only 5 oz! Should be 6-8 oz.

    The place is of course unique and the food is amazing. The meatballs are out of this world and the truffle soap was so good. Avery was very professional and made all the right suggestion which we followed and truly enjoyed. Highly recommended for sure

    We had a flawless dining experience at The Joshua Wilton House last night - The house is charming, warm and inviting and so was the staff, from the Hostess at the front door to our Waitress and the Manager as well - The Special Graduation Menu was well chosen and absolutely delicious - What a lovely evening! We really enjoyed it!
