Featuring the dynamic pairing of Master Sushi Chef Katsuya Uechi and design impresario Philippe Starck, Katsuya South Beach is truly a feast for the senses. With unique rolls and spectacular sushi and sashimi platters, Chef Uechi skillfully translates Japanese flavors to the American palate.     We used to go to Katsuya often but had not been in a while. It’s not the same, the food was mediocre at best and we even had to return a plate because it just didn’t taste fresh. Also the valet was $36 which we found excessive. Unfortunately I can’t say I’ll go back.

    Food was very good but a nearly empty restaurant meant there was no atmosphere and it was almost awkward.
