    My wife had the Crème Brule French Toast with bottomless mamosas and I had the bottomless mix em up along the King’s Bowl. We had their cinnamon bun after that. All of the food and drinks were excellent.

    It started with the hostess she was very flat and I had to approach her?? Then I get to my table the waiter stated the hostess never told him that this was his table and we sat a while before we got helped . The food took forever to comr out and so did our drinks will not recommend the service was slow luckily I live 900 miles away I will not be back!!

    Well, for starters, the Louisiana crabcake was cold. I came in for a reservation at 10:30. The food should’ve have been piping hot. Number two, the grits were not cooked. They were thoroughly they were not creamy the shrimp and the corn choux was OK. The water was mildly cold And there weren’t that many people in the restaurant this morning so the food should’ve been better. I will not return. I’ve been there once previously. There’s a reason why I don’t go back and I won’t be back and I am a native New Orleans resident.

    Our food was delicious, but we felt rushed, as our entrees arrived before we were halfway through our appetizers.

    We had a reservation but were trying to sit another party. Kudos to the staff for trying to accommodate but ultimately we sat out on the patio which consisted of only our table. We sat at the bar while we waited and had excellent service and an extra shot in our drinks. We had to ask for service once seated but food was good. The duck gumbo was not my favorite but the menu has a lot of variety so would go back and try other options. The fried chicken and red beans was very good.

    Enjoyed Kingfish for the Friday before Mardi Gras. Was a little frustrated that, although I called months in advance, we had two reservations for 4 that we asked either to be combined or at least seated near each other but was told over the phone we could not be accommodated. The hostess tried, at the door, to seat us near each other but when I told her we trued by calling in advance, she was surprised there was no recird of it. Anyway, despite splitting our party up, we enjoyed the drinks and food. The shrimp & grits was hood but the gumbo was lackluster. Whoever was staffing the bar was a rockstar- not only did she make great cocktails, we saw her hauling ice and emptying trash while there and told her she should get a raise!

    Food was just ok. Two sandwiches were good, but the shrimp cocktail and steak salad were not good. But the food was so much better than the service, which was indescribable terrible, both for food and drinks. No plans to return to this restaurant!

    I like this place and it’s nice it’s usually available for immediate seating. Love the aesthetic, seats are comfy and always get good drinks here. This visit was good, waiter Michael was very good - on top of things and very personable. Mom had shrimp Caesar and it was great. I had the shrimp and grits this time and I did not love the gravy/sauce. It was very tomato heavy and just not what I want out of my shrimp and grits. Shrimp was good and so were the grits themselves but I just didn’t care for the topping. I’ll get something else next time.
