Established in 2003, King’s Fish House is Carlsbad’s choice for seafood. Located just across from the Carlsbad Premium outlets and LEGOLAND, King’s Fish House features a large selection of fresh oysters, seasonal catches, sushi and live shellfish, including lobster and crab, on a menu that changes daily.

We’ve been in restaurants a little while – three generations, to be precise. A long time ago, we embarked on a road trip in search of the ultimate seafood experience. We traveled down highways and byways, pulled up a seat, put on bibs and soaked up the seafood experience: the no-name dishes with unforgettable flavor, the fresh-caught oysters and clams piled high, the hand-lettered specials on ancient chalkboards and the savory simmer of every combination of spices imaginable.

    This Thanksgiving, we’re hosting at King’s Fish House - Carlsbad and you’re invited. On Thursday, November 28, the three-course Thanksgiving menu will be available all day, featuring your choice of starter (clam chowder or mixed organic greens), entrée (roasted turkey, garlic mashed potatoes, traditional cranberry sauce, homemade sourdough apple-celery stuffing and turkey gravy) and your choice of dessert (pumpkin cheesecake or old fashioned chocolate cake). Adults are $52 and children (under 12) are $19 per person. Our full menu will also be available all day.

    Great fish and great service. We brought our own bottle of wine and there was no cork fee!!! A bonus!

    I have come here many times over the years, but was rather dissatisfied tonight. My meal was cold. The prices have increased and the quality has decreased.

    We have had several great experiences with King’s Fish House in Calabasas but our experience tonight was not the same. Our halibut and baked potatoes were served luke warm and the server was MIA most of the night including after the dishes were delivered. She came 14 minutes later to ask us if everything was okay. Based on my previous experiences I would give this a try again. But beware.

    First time coming here. We had reservations and we were seated almost immediately. It's nice and dark inside and even though it was a Saturday night, it wasn't too loud. Our waiter was adequate but we just didn't get any kind of friendly vibe from her. She was not mean by any stretch, but she was just not helpful. Especially if you consider how the other table's waiter was who had a smile and was engaging. The food was alright. We really liked the crab cakes. I had the filet mignon and lobster and the lobster was good. However, the medium rare filet mignon was tough as leather. We decided to skip dessert after dinner. Do I recommend this place? If you are looking for a nice place to drink and it's dark and not too loud, this is a great place. If you're looking for a decent place to eat...sure. But if you're really looking for good food while on vacation, this place is just OK.

    As always an exceptional experience Great service and from the spicy tuna roll to the perfectly cooked Sand Dabs all was great! Miss seeing Marina but sure appreciate the great food and service
