Introducing Sushi Sundays at Kona Grill, where you can indulge in ALL-YOU-CAN-EAT Traditional Sushi Rolls starting at just $39 for adults & $19 for kids, including soup and salad. Upgrade your experience to Specialty Rolls or Nigiri for just $10 more. Restrictions: Reservations required. Dine-in only. No sharing. 90 minute maximum. Guests may order 2 rolls on first order and after that 1 roll per order. Cannot be combined with any other offer or promotion.

                                      One of the few restaurants open in Boise on Christmas, but if it's going to be open, management should plan appropriately for staffing and maybe a special beer and wine menu since hard liquor is prohibited by state law on Christmas. The Beer and wine offering was just their usual and very low quality. But even worse than that was the service. Although we had a reservation, we arrived early and agreed to sit at the bar and forego our table. The bartender who served us was abysmal. Our appetizers arrived in a reasonable time frame, but after we completed them we couldn't get the bartender's attention to order more food. He never once asked us how we were doing or offered to refresh drinks. We made eye contact with him and tried to flag him down but he ignored us for 50 minutes! Finally got him and ordered food and a soda. He didn't bring the soda and we had to flag him down again. We waited 1h30m for our food. After an hour, we got his attention again and asked for status. He said "everybody's in the same boat". Like that makes it any better?? Kona Grill management, if you know it's going to be a busy night, have enough staff on hand to provide a decent experience!!! And maybe train your staff to give better service. Also, the food was really average at best. The steak "fried rice" had only a tiny amount of steak draped on top of it and the rice was definitely NOT "fried". It was just steamed with a bunch of soy sauce mixed in. It was a mushy, gross mess. Definitely not worth $29. The rest of the meals were "okay". No major complaints, but just not high quality or remotely worth the price. Overall a terrible Christmas experience.

                                      Not a great experience at all. Our reservation was at 6:30. They were not seating people by reservation. They had so many people waiting for a table. I finally had to stand in front of the hoses for 20 minutes for her to finally seats at 7:20 almost an hour after our reservation. Then we sat down orders our drinks and food right away as we already looked at the menu while waiting. We sat and sat and finally I asked for some bread we were all starving. Waitress comes out with two little pieces of bread for six of us. Then I ask for pretzel rolls anything any food. She brings it out. At 9pm we finally draw the line. Still no food. They even kept seating new people and current tables nobody had food on their table. The manager couldn’t handle it, the hostess, chef and waitress was trying hard. I don’t recommend this place anytime just because they should have not handed us a bill for our drinks. They should have had the courtesy of not seating more people and should have turned them away. They all lost control. We never got our food and left.

                                      Had a reservation for 4:30 and didn't receive our food until 6:30. We waited for two hours for our food. The service was great, but I need to che k my emailed receipt. Our bill wound up being $100 for two burgers and a kids California roll box and a side of mac and cheese (which was the worst mac and cheese, as it was cold and flavorless) soda and tea. Won't be back. Overpriced and meh food. Only food thing was the service. I felt bad for that poor girl because she had to tell people they had to wait so long.

                                      Delicious food and happy, friendly servers even on Christmas Day. The service was really fast especially considering how packed the place was. A little noisy but overall a great experience for my family. We have found our new Christmas tradition.

                                      Crazy busy for Christmas Dinner but everything went off without a hitch. Service was friendly and prompt, food arrived in good time with generous portions and the right temps. While not the most relaxing dinner, the staff was on top of it.
