   The restaurant was nearly empty, yet the service was mid-level at best. Both my guest and first had to return our drinks as they were out of syrup so the soda was like water. I returned my steak because it was severally overdone and had no resemblance of the filet I ordered, they had forgot my shrimp and included the wrong sides so I also asked for that correction. As I waited another waitress offered me table bread which I didn’t no was even available. The second steak came out as my guest was finishing her meal, this steak was blue inside barely even cooked. I asked that hey just take my plate and remove the item from my check. It wad a terrible experience with little effort to resolve or retain me as a future customer. The waiter handled the entire interaction, no manger ever greeted me or asked what happened. Although I’ve never been to this location I have been to Kona many times, this was not the experience or value to cost that I am accustomed to at the other locations.

   THE FOOD WAS GOOD, I HAD THET PAD THAI NOODLES AND ADDED SOME SYRACHIA TO MAKE IS SPICY, WE ALSO HAD EDAMAMIS COOKED IN GARLIC AND THEY WERE AMAZING. HAD A RASBERRY MOJITO TO WASH IT ALL DOWN WITH.... YUMMMM.. SERVICE WAS OVERALL THE BEST AND WE EVEN CALLED THE MANAGER OUT TO LET HIM KNOW THAT OUR SERVER WAS ABSOLUTLELY WONDERFUL. ITS NOT EVERYDAY YOU GET SOMEONE WITH SUCH POSITIVE ENERGY AND VIBES. HER NAME WAS SOPHIA.

   Was birthday dinner for 6 of us. Unfortunately not going back to one of our previously favorite places. Food was truly awful - prime rib was so thin and full of gristle that we had to send it back. Four of the remaining dishes were ok, not memorable in any was. The fifth dish (macadamia nut chicken) - chicken was fabulous but accompanying asparagus was inedible. Overall a very sad experience. Our server was very nice and I believe she was truly embarrassed at the quality of food that she had to take back to the kitchen to the chef.

   This was my first time dining at Kona Grill. When we walked in, it smelt like a mixture of old food and bleach. The atmosphere and decor were both underwhelming. It took a while for our server to take our order. He was pleasant but it felt like he was in a rush all the time which made us feel like we weren't that welcomed. We ordered the pre-fix menu with the steak. The steak was cooked perfectly. The potatoes were under cooked. The salad was tasty. Based on the price point for the restaurant we felt like places like Texas Roadhouse or Outback could run laps around this place. I'm not really sure why people like this place. It's unlikely we will be back useless there's another promotion to perhaps try again.

   Disappointing sushi roles. One of the specialty roles arrived with two of the pieces collapsed and a mess on the plate (looked exactly like the mess makes when learning to use chopsticks). They were not packed well and easily fell apart while picking up. One of the traditional roles looked “frazzled” as the rice was not even and consistent - not tightly packed. When mentioned it to the server it was explained it was his third day. Seems like more training is needed.

    We hadn’t been to Kona in a while, but the food was really good. Service was lacking a bit because we understood our server had other tables, but not overly attentive, took forever to get drinks and we had to often look for our server rather than him checking in.
