   Will not be back for lunch. A below average turkey sandwich was $25, onion soup $16 and a fish sandwich $32. These are resort prices. There are other places nearby where food is much better quality and for half the price. High price + poor quality food = no local support. Dinner was inconsistent, not cheap but at least sometimes you get good food. We ate once on a Thursday, it was about perfect then on Saturday the food was poor - lukewarm, prawns were undercooked and the chicken was overcooked and dry. Overpriced and below average.

   The food was great. The taro chips were interesting and an unexpected delight. The service was very attentive and catered to our requests for exceptions. Outside dining was great, the view down the hill and the little babbling brook was very pleasant. Also the wood burning pizza oven added to the ambience. Overall it was very pleasant time. Would recommend it to anyone that wants to enjoy a quiet meal with a great view.

   We absolutely love visiting Kula Lodge for cocktails and great food. The views and gardens are amazing anytime. The cocktails are beautiful and creative. Make sure you check out the art.

   Unbelievably beautiful location with spectacular views and cool booths for 4 or 5 people. I had the Hawaiian Omelette served with fried potatoes, which was good, but both were under seasoned. Easily fixed with salt and pepper but...

   Very good breakfast. Good selection. Beautiful view of the valley below. Great place to stop for breakfast after viewing the sunrise at Haleakalā Crater.

    Kula Lodge is a must-schedule for us when we visit Maui. Driving Upcountry brings you to a different Maui world of small communities and their gardens, some of which feed the restaurants we tourists love. Yesterday’s choices were a salad of local greens and veggies, and wood-roasted pizza. Dee-lish! And the service is top notch too.
