For many years, the Kula Lodge has been a favorite for both visitors and Kama'aina alike for delicious cuisine and breathtaking views of Maui. Perched high on the slopes of Haleakala with a 180 degree view of Maui, the Kula Lodge and Restaurant is a comfortable and homey place to relax, especially on your way down from the sunrise or sunset at the crater. It is situated on 4 lovely acres and not only has a stunning botanical garden, it has the only full-service bar and live music in Kula. It's also the only place upcountry with dancing (on Friday and Saturday nights)!

The restaurant seats up to 160 guests, making it ideal for weddings and special events. The Kula Lodge outdoor Garden Terrace features a brick wood-burning pizza oven and an open view of south, central and the Maui mountains. The sunset views are absolutely phenomenal!

Sunday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings from 5-7 have live entertainment; Friday & Saturday evenings from 5-8pm have live entertainment AND dancing!

    I don’t understand the logic in not allowing people to sit in the tables by the windows during the afternoon hours. The main dining room was basically empty but our choice of tables was limited to a handful of tables tucked away by the bar with no view whatsoever.

    Was so happy I found this hidden gem! The food was phenomenal. Probably the best meal I had while visiting. I highly recommend the Coq Au Vin .

    Views and location and overall setting were incredible. Food was just alright.. still worth a lunch just for the location and setting.

    Food was good- our server was friendly, but also brought us a glass of what should have been Frank Family cab and it was most definitely not that. The host who sat us also brought a filthy dirty decanter and poured our $200 bottle of wine we brought into it. Then washed it and was about to pour it back in with water sitting in the bottom. Overall not a great experience.

    The food at Kula Lodge is consistly good but their service is poor. Literally timed our food as it sat under the heat lamp for nearly 15 mins before they brought to our table. Rather than serving the salad and soup first, they came after the entree. Not the best service experience.

    Friends holiday gathering was delightful at the Kula Lodge. The view is spectacular, the food is excellent and if you are lucky enough to get Beth as a server you’ve hit the trifecta! She is incredible with her joyful spirit, and attentiveness to your every need. Thanks to Beth for making a wonderful get together even better.
