For many years, the Kula Lodge has been a favorite for both visitors and Kama'aina alike for delicious cuisine and breathtaking views of Maui. Perched high on the slopes of Haleakala with a 180 degree view of Maui, the Kula Lodge and Restaurant is a comfortable and homey place to relax, especially on your way down from the sunrise or sunset at the crater. It is situated on 4 lovely acres and not only has a stunning botanical garden, it has the only full-service bar and live music in Kula. It's also the only place upcountry with dancing (on Friday and Saturday nights)!

The restaurant seats up to 160 guests, making it ideal for weddings and special events. The Kula Lodge outdoor Garden Terrace features a brick wood-burning pizza oven and an open view of south, central and the Maui mountains. The sunset views are absolutely phenomenal!

Sunday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings from 5-7 have live entertainment; Friday & Saturday evenings from 5-8pm have live entertainment AND dancing!

    We had a great experience! The food and service were excellent. We had a reservation and were seated immediately. Our table had a lovely view of the unique patio and beautiful landscape outside.

    Kula Lodge brunch was perfect! We all loved our food! Great pizza, fresh fish sandwich, omelette and my amazing croissant turkey sandwich! We had the pancakes for dessert! Love the drive, the atmosphere and the walk around the garden after. People come here! Brunch/lunch until 2 pm! It’s great!

    Came for Christmas dinner. Place is cute, doesn't have much atmosphere. Food was so so, disappointing really since it was Christmas. Service was great!

    Waitress was great. Food was great. Waiting one hour and 10 minutes for a meal is unacceptable. The same thing happened last Xmas so obviously the restaurant was overbooked for their capabilities. Would have loved to have had a nice dessert and coffee but after waiting an hour and 10 minutes for our meal we were ready to leave. Unfortunately we won’t be back next Xmas.

    Kula Lodge is worth going to for the unique garden setting and friendly staff who bound up and down the hillside setting with impressive energy. I would suggest making an early dinner reservation or come before 12:30 as the service suffers right before the kitchen closes to prep for dinner. We came at 1:30 and felt rushed as all the appetizers and mains arrived at the same time. We were half done with the appetizers before being asked if we were finished and asked for plates to be cleared. This is a nice place to linger over drinks and ceviche, so come early and avoid being rushed. They accept reservations as late as 1:45.

    We sat outside for breakfast as you can’t beat the view. The food was good, our server was nice, and we just love the feeling of tranquillity. We try to come here once wash maui trip.
