Kumi Restaurant + Lounge combines East-Asian ingredients with Korean flavors, creating a modern approach to Japanese Cuisine. Great place for fresh seafood sushi. The sea bass is outstanding. The tempura shrimp is very good- not overly breaded.

We have eaten here for the last 10 years on each trip to Vegas. Unfortunately this year we were presented with a “streamlined “ menu which our server explained was due to a very busy week owing to a UFC fight last week. Also, there were no wines available by the bottle except the very small ”wines by the glass” list. Food was still tasty and the service fine but felt like a restaurant should be able to make enough food purchases to keep their normal menu intact.

Very limited menu. They were out of tuna, albacore and yellowtail. Crazy for a sushi restaurant! But they did have day-old spicy tuna on rice cake which was just ok…the rice was greasy. Ordered the green veggie, which was bok choy swimming in so much soy sauce. Inedible. The only sushi we had was salmon and is was not that good. Not a great cocktail menu either. I ended up having a Kirin beer. Ambiance was so-so… the restaurant opens up to the hallway where all the other restaurants are, so it’s not like being in a nice restaurant. The waitress was sweet, but I would not recommend this place.

This is the second time I have eaten at Kumi in the last three months. Both times, on a Saturday early evening, they were out of all their white wines. All three kinds. Not sure how a sushi place in Vegas keeps running out of wine, but they do. They were also out of the beer my spouse wanted. This time, they also said they couldn’t make the sushi boat they made last time. Again, not sure how that is possible, since it’s just a roll with nigiri. After hearing all that they didn’t have, we almost left, but we were starving, so we stuck it out. The food we did get was good. The restaurant was also super loud, mainly from music. Overall, if they could find a way not to be out of key things, this place is good.

I did not have as positive experience as I have in the past. The food selection seemed more limited, and the service wasn’t quite as expedient.
