The food is always consistently great. Our server was friendly and VERY efficient!! Kudos to her. So many love this restaurant as proven by how buys it always is.

L. Woods is such a great place!! I go there quite often, and I try to get something different each time. I can honestly say that everything that I have ever ordered is really, really good!! Tonight I had fried fish--Walleye, to be exact, and it was incredibly tasty! I often get the Mahogany Chicken, because that is my favorite, but I do try to mix it up. Not only is the food excellent, but everyone is very friendly and accommodating if you have a special request. I travel from downtown Chicago to the suburbs because this restaurant is so wonderful! Also, I ordered some side dishes and desserts for Thanksgiving and Christmas this year, and they could not have been better. It is just a simple down home darling place to get a great meal--the bar is always totally hopping, as well as every table being filled. So make sure to make a reservation or you may be disappointed! I cannot say enough great things about L. Woods--just a great meal at a very reasonable price!! Lettuce Entertain You Enterprises has done it again!

1st time dining experience. Overall food and service were average. We asked for 3% surcharge to be removed and it was not. Waiter asked Manager to assist. Our card was incorrectly charged and when questioned staff asked for a manager to assist. Our card was then charged a 2nd time. We had to ask for our receipts as none were given. Manager did not approach nor offer explanation nor apology- we are waiting for a refund from 1st incorrect charge.
