We do not accept reservations for breakfast and lunch, it is walk-in based only.

In consideration of our dining reservations, we kindly ask you to abide by the following time courtesy standards:

1-2 Guests; 1 Hour 30 Minutes
3-5 Guests; 1 Hour 45 Minutes
6-8 Guests; 2 Hours
9-12 Guests; Reservations are only available at designated times (4:30-5:30, 7:30, 8:00) - 2 Hours 30 minutes

*For parties of more than 12 guests please call our Dining Room at (505) 995-2334


La Plazuela was the hotel’s original 1920s patio and it retains that sunlit Old World charm. Skylights flood the dining room with natural light and handsome carved furnishings, artisanal lighting, and our much-loved hand painted windows create a beautiful, inviting room to gather, to dine and to make memories in. The menu was crafted to showcase old favorites with New World influences and authentic New Mexican cuisine. La Plazuela at La Fonda on the Plaza is Santa Fe’s gathering place. Come dine with us!

    The food was wonderful. The sirloin was tender and rich in flavor. The chili relleno my husband ordered was so delicious and we made sure we brought all leftovers home with us. The waiter was wey nice and brought us a glass of apple cider because it was our 35th anniversary and we don’t drink. Thank you all so much. It was worth every penny!

    Our server, Edward was fantastic. He displayed the highest level of professionalism. We felt really pampered and lucky to be served by him.

    I have loved La Plazuela at La Fonda for years. But for the first time, I felt that the quality and service had really declined. We waited a long time to receive food. The waitress brought us bread and butter to help with the wait which was appreciated, but it took 2 hours/45 min. to complete our meal. When we did receive the food, it was disappointing. We had ordered Chicken Cordon Bleu. It was presented very well, but the chicken was so dry that only 1/2 of it was eaten . And the asparagus was undercooked - wound up just cutting off the tips and eating that part. Both meals were only lukewarm. Truly it felt like so much attention had been placed on fancy plating to "elevate" the dish; that the actual food was a second thought. The prices have increased a lot for less quality. We noticed a dish at the next table was sent back. Both waiters for that table and ours were very polite and offered "extras" due to the long waits. Very disappointed in the experience.

    Hi Karen, We rely on guest feedback, so thank you for taking the time to reach out. We apologize you did not have the experience we are all committed to. After doing a little "research", your server, let us know that you never let her know that you were disappointed in the chicken Corden Bleu. If she knew this, we would all have gone above and beyond to make it right. She said that you told her you were both "enjoying your meals", in the many times she visited with your table. It's imperative we know if there is a problem. Your server also made sure to bring you and your husband, complimentary bubbles, at the end of your meal, when you told her you were on a date night. We sincerely hope you will continue to be an esteemed guest and dine with us again, Kindly, Deborah Newman

    Date night out with my spouse and her choice was La Pazuela in the Hotel La Fonda. Ambiance was excellent…beautiful romantic dining room as well as a separate tavern with live music—-flamenco guitar trio, I believe. Our hostess seated us promptly for our reservation for two and bottled water and a mocktail was ordered. Our server, Bryan, was on point with menu recommendations and explanations. We ordered the Chiles Rellenos (one cheese and one shredded beef) and a chicken enchilada duo with “Christmas Chile Sauce.” Nothing was too spicy, the accompanying posole and pintos were excellent as well as the entrees. After dinner coffee and a shared pineapple upside down cake was a perfect finisher. Afterwards, we sat for a bit in front of a huge, cozy fireplace—how idyllic. The service staff didn’t miss a beat, the hostess validated our parking, and we were on our way to stroll the town square and enjoy the holiday lights. Strongly recommend staying in the hotel if you’re visiting Santa Fe and enjoying the fireplace seating areas as well as a reasonably priced dinner at La Pazuela.

    Bland food and only average service. Beautiful room. There are many better restaurants in Santa Fe.

    One of our favorites in Santa Fe. We have often had lunch there but this was dinner and did not disappoint.
