We do not accept reservations for breakfast and lunch, it is walk-in based only.

In consideration of our dining reservations, we kindly ask you to abide by the following time courtesy standards:

1-2 Guests; 1 Hour 30 Minutes
3-5 Guests; 1 Hour 45 Minutes
6-8 Guests; 2 Hours
9-12 Guests; Reservations are only available at designated times (4:30-5:30, 7:30, 8:00) - 2 Hours 30 minutes

La Plazuela was the hotel’s original 1920s patio and it retains that sunlit Old World charm. Skylights flood the dining room with natural light and handsome carved furnishings, artisanal lighting, and our much-loved hand painted windows create a beautiful, inviting room to gather, to dine and to make memories in. The menu was crafted to showcase old favorites with New World influences and authentic New Mexican cuisine. La Plazuela at La Fonda on the Plaza is Santa Fe’s gathering place. Come dine with us!

    The room is interesting and the menu is varied so it’s a good place to take SF visitors. However, last night was disappointing. We were seated 25 minutes after our reservation time. It took another half hour to order. A gin martini was made with lemon vodka and was replaced with gin infused water. On the balcony there was an Indian dance demonstration with drumming. (Who thought that was a good idea?) After ordering things settled down although the food was mediocre and given the choices for restaurants in SF too expensive. I’m taking it off the visitor list.

    Black Friday night so the place was buzzing with people. We were greeted with a friendly smile by the hostess and seated promptly at our reservation time. Angel was our outstanding waiter who knew how everything was prepared. Very good value to order the 3 or 4 course Prix Fix menu items. I did 3 courses. Tableside made guacamole, prime rib and chocolate mousse. She had a la cart tortilla soup and sea bass. Sea Bass was a generous portion and probably the tastiest we have ever eaten. The service could not have been more attentive.

    Such a beautiful space! The service was excellent, and the tableside guac service is excellent. Also thoroughly enjoyed the pork belly appetizer.

    We loved the option to select a 3 or 4 course meal and all of us enjoyed our entrees. The table side guacamole and spinach and strawberry salad were wonderful. I enjoyed the sea bass very much and the flan capped the evening off perfectly!

    We had this restaurant recommended to us by multiple people and we are SO glad we made it in to eat! The food was nothing short of stellar. As was the service and customer service as well. Wonderful appt that we highly recommend!!

    Everything about La Plazuela was fantastic! This was our second time in just a couple of months eating there and we loved it. The food was excellent and the service, especially Judith, was the best we’ve ever experienced. My wife and I highly recommend this place and we will, undoubtedly , be back! The entire staff seems very professional and attentive but we just feel Judith is exceptional!
