Ulu Kitchen by Merriman is an ocean front restaurant offering breakfast, lunch, and dinner service featuring local ingredients and recipes created by chef Peter Merriman. Dine at the most breathtaking oceanfront setting in Kapalua Resort. Peter Merriman Chef/Restauranteur has brought his unique style of Hawaii Regional Cuisine to Maui.     Food was outstanding! We made the reservation without knowing they would have a thanksgiving menu and were anticipating seafood, but could not resist trying the special thanksgiving selections. They did not disappoint. We started with the Ube bread, and with the melted honey butter and drinks, made a tasty start to the evening. The seafood coming to tables around us looked fantastic also and I only wish we could have had more time on Maui to return and try more. We will be back in the future!

    Very popular spot on the beach so crowded and noisy. Had reservation and were seated quickly on arrival. Waiter was prompt, courteous and friendly. Menu selection good, prepared well in reasonable time. Mac crusted Mahi Mahi was outstanding. A bit pricey but not unusual for Kaanapali beachfront.

    You cannot beat this view, the ambience was lovely, and honestly the prices were right on par for the delicious food. Best scallops I have ever had and the rest of my family loved the ramen. Will be a for sure stop for us next trip!
