Rooftop bar serving craft cocktails and seasonal cuisine 15 floors above downtown in the AC Hotel San Antonio Riverwalk. Take in views of the San Antonio River Walk, Main Plaza and San Fernando Cathedral. Our food menu at 1 Watson includes Texas-inspired items such as smoked brisket tacos as well as three varieties of tostadas. Enjoy craft cocktails, beers and wines from select Texas vineyards and beyond. Our libations menu features cocktails made from Texas-made bourbon, vodka and gin. We have Reservations available for a percentage of our restaurant and the rest of the tables will be on a first come first serve basis. For all reservations, a two-hour time limit will be enforced. Located in the heart of downtown, The Esquire Tavern is the oldest bar on the San Antonio Riverwalk, opened the year, month and day that Prohibition was repealed. Tending bar in the early days was a highly prized and much sought after craft. Bar keeps then created many of their own syrups, mixes and concoctions and used the freshest of juices with the intention of serving the best products. We at the Esquire have taken a serious approach to the old world of bartending and spun it with a modern twist.     I cannot recommend this restaurant enough! First of all, the vibes are incredible. The restaurant is smaller and feels more intimate. The service is wonderful (shoutout to you, Grace). Everything we ordered was incredible, so I don’t think you could ever go wrong. For how nice of a place this was and how good the food is, the price was very reasonable. This is our new favorite place to eat! This is some of the BEST food I’ve had in SA.

    They were flexible with my reservation as our group was running late from a convention. That was great. My favorite feature they offer is half serving sizes for most of their entrees. This was so nice it allowed my wife and I to try different entrees and share.

    Me and my wife enjoyed our 17th anniversary here and the ambience was beautiful!!! Sitting over the Riverwalk looking down on the city was amazing. The drinks were also amazing. The food not so much. We got the brisket queso appetizer and the cheese was so thick and greasy it was unappetizing. We also tried the brisket tacos, which were mediocre at best, they came out medium warm but had great flavor just a little tough.
