There is also a bar in this restaurant within the Engleside Inn where guests can select from an excellent list of wines and liquors.     The Smithville Inn is an icon of Atlantic County! The best restaurant in Historic Smithville, you can wonder through the shops, watch the ducks and swans on the lake and finish the day with an excellent meal at the Inn. We went for dinner to celebrate a birthday. The cocktails were excellent, the shrimp cocktail had the most delicious cocktail sauce, the corn chowder was thick and creamy, the french onion soup was very good, the steak and chicken limon were wonderful. Of course, their signature chicken pot pie was to die for! Our only, very slight disappointment was the crab cakes had a little too much filler and not enough crab. Our server was professional, friendly and attentive. The entire staff was excellent! Their rewards program is a big help, too! I definitely recommend!
