General Public is inspired by trying to imagine what an upscale English pub would be if it had the heart of an American brasserie (and was open 11 to 11). It’s also going to signal a little bit of steakhouse, but not too much. And finally, it will look behind itself at the Black Hoof, which you will see reflected in James Santon’s menu here and there. In terms of vibe, the main floor is ‘everything’s gone green’, with lush comfortable banquette seating, warm wood, and barstools designed for long conversations over many cocktails. Upstairs you’ll find a completely different space that transports you to a peachy 80s dream. Somehow these two halves make perfect sense, and complement each other in a seamless conversation, where neither wins the argument, but you really do have to see it! See you soon!

    Excellent atmosphere. Definietly recommend. Its our second time there and again we came with our infant daughter and they were unprepared. They accommodated but only after they realized that their approach would hamper our childs safety and then they complied. Exact same thing happened the time before. Please train your staff to handle seating families with infants that will remain in their stroller basket. THe unprepared approach makes it a bit annoying.

    Wonderful dinner. Unfortunately our special guest had to cancel last minute so it wasn’t the celebration we had planned. However we had a fab dinner - wedge, tartare, skate, halibut, schnitzel, chips and three cocktails and it was fab with fantastic service in beautiful space.

The staff is attentive and knowledgeable, offering spot-on wine pairings to complement the meal. For dessert, the tiramisu is a must—light, creamy, and the perfect end to a fantastic meal. Whether you’re here for a casual dinner or a special celebration, Giulietta delivers a taste of Italy that feels both refined and homey. Highly recommend, this was our 3rd visit and many more to come!
