Altland House in Abbottstown is a classic inn and eatery that is housed within an expansive structure that dates back to 1790.     Exceptional food and wine selection is extraordinary! Staff is super friendly and helpful for pairing wine with dinner. Server spent 10 minutes talking to my wife. Never felt rushed when ordering or eating. Appetizer was ordered and served prior to entree order.

    Our first time here as my wife and I just moved into Gettysburg a few months ago. Several people recommended we try it and so glad we did. Beautiful dining room and Jenna, our server, was so friendly and took great care of us during a busy Saturday night. We had oysters, onion soup, filet mignon and stuffed pork chop. Dessert was the s’mores cake. Everything was well prepared and delicious. We are looking forward to our next visit as they serve lunch and Sunday brunch too.
