Everything is true to the time period at King’s Arms Tavern, from the fashion sported by servers to the pewter candlesticks—all adding to an air of colonial elegance. Inspired by 18th-century recipes, but with updates to suit 21st-century tastes, tuck in to a chophouse menu featuring prime rib, pork chops, and more.ADA Accessible dining is available in the Purdie Kitchen. Please note this colonial building is separate from King’s Arms Tavern. Please check-in at the front, and our host will escort guests to the Purdie Kitchen.The taverns are located in the Historic Area, and not on a public street. Le Yaca began in 1964 in Courchevel, a tiny, country village in the French Alps. Daniele Bourderau & Gerard decided it would be fun to open a small restaurant. When friends learned of their plans, they told the hopeful restaurateurs they were crazy to think people would drive eight kilometers on a winding, icy road for dinner. Daniele and Gerard hesitated for three months and then decided, “yaca le faire,” a contraction of the French phrase “il n’y a qu’a le faire,” which basically means, “let’s do it.” They called the restaurant Le Yaca as a gag, but the name caught on with customers who were amused by the pun and contributed to the restaurant’s lore by inventing “yaca-isms” of their own: yaca y aller (let’s go). Daniele came to the United States and opened Le Yaca in Williamsburg. Daniel Abid bought Le Yaca in 2001. Daniel worked and trained in such prestigious places as “Le Pre Catelan” and “Lenotre” in Paris; “L’Amandier” and “Roger Verge," and to top it all off, “Alain Ducass

    Came for Thanksgiving dinner. This restaurant is absolutely one of the best dining experiences I've had in many years! The ambiance and decor was so comfortable yet upscale. The service was great and the food was fantastic! We drove an hour to get to the restaurant and will certainly do it again on future visits to the area.

    Ever since we found Le Yaca a year ago on a trip to Colonial Williamsburg, they earned a place on our “must do” lists. The service is impeccable - the food perfectly prepared - somehow managing to be imaginative and classic at the same time. The restaurant is beautiful as well. Cocktails were generous and the prix fixe menu will give you pause, with all the incredible options. Also of note: every single staff person seemed genuinely pleased to have us as guests. Smiles, greetings, and thanks made us feel welcomed into a place they were proud to represent.
