A chic and sophisticated décor provides the setting for our distinctive "world cuisine", a provocative mix of zesty influences that creates a delightful dining experience in Palm Springs, California. Plush high-backed semicircular banquettes surround our dining room and offer comfortable and private seating. The cuisine has a light, exotic feel with an emphasis on Pacific Rim specialties, from Chilean Sea Bass baked in Banana Leaves or Kahlua-Barbecued Pork Chops to all sorts of tasty tapas, salads, wood-fired pizzas, and desserts. The Coral Seas Lounge, a hip mid-century style bar is lined with sexy black leather bar-stools and is reminiscent of the upbeat lounges of old Palm Springs. It wraps around the dining room and leads outside to a lush, tropical, 2000 square foot dining patio where a variety of specialty cocktails and old-school favorites are mixed - an ideal place where friends gather and martinis are sipped under the starlit desert sky.

Chef Mario Marfia was born in Sicily, Italy and honed his craft working as a chef in the Mediterranean. He brings those culinary and cultural influences to El Paseo in Palm Desert, and the New Downtown of Palm Springs. Established in the heart of Palm Springs at the foot of the San Jacinto Mountains, Le Vallauris has been one of the highest rated restaurants in the Coachella Valley since its inception in 1973. The exquisite cuisine at Le Vallauris is prepared by Executive Chef, Jean-Paul Lair, who has graced the restaurant for over 25 years. The Historic Landmark was built in 1927 as a home for the Roberson family, who managed Palm Springs' first hotel, The Desert Inn. Many grand parties were held in the house for guests such as Duke Ellington, Nat King Cole, Louis Armstrong and many more. Later on, when the restaurant was established it became a favorite place for Presidents and the Hollywood elite, and local socialites.

    Delightful venue with superb service. Nice fresh twist on Eastern European culinary staples, and many seafood offerings too. We enjoyed the excellent beef stroganoff and fantastic Budapest Schnitzel. The schnitzel was as good or better than what we had in Budapest and Vienna. We will definitely return.

    Our experience was amazing as soon as we walked in the door we were met by Ashley, the hostess, who was so warm and friendly and accommodating. And then we proceeded to our fabulous booth for dinner for three and were serviced by Nikki the waiter, who was just a 10 out of 10. Service was great. The food was wonderful and the ambience was delightful.

    The food, ambience and service was beyond my expectations. I had the Risotto Pescatore and it was delicious, just enough seafood that it didn’t overwhelm the delicious tomatoe based sauce and rice. The service was excellent and they did a great job surprising my friend with a complimentary birthday dessert.

    Everything from the food to the host and server were wonderful. HOWEVER the loud dance music blasting from the bar area was quite annoying. Since we were dining relatively early we did not expect the music to be at a level that made conversation difficult. Loved the food and restaurant in general and will be back but with noise canceling headphones- I’ll just text my dinner mates!!! PS - hotel is gorgeous! Great addition to Palm Springs.
