The Palazzo Della Gherardesca was unusual for its time in that its main interior space, the atrium, was originally designed as a secondary courtyard. Just incredible. In Florence for a wedding and the groom’s father recommended this restaurant. Excellent service. Excellent food. Excellent wine. A must while in Italy.

We dined twice at Lo Scudo on our most recent trip to Florence. Once for lunch, and again for dinner later in the week. The food and service were both outstanding, and we'd definitely recommend for anyone looking to eat in the Centro Storico area of Florence.
