Chef Mario Marfia was born in Sicily, Italy and honed his craft working as a chef in the Mediterranean. He brings those culinary and cultural influences to El Paseo in Palm Desert, and the New Downtown of Palm Springs. Il Corso restaurant offers genuine Italian hospitality serving a wonderful variety of traditional Italian dishes, fresh salads, homemade pastas, wood oven pizzas and delicious seafood. In addition to our regular menu, Chef Mario prepares nightly specials from all over Italy like “the world’s best gnocchi,” and our house specialty, roasted leg of veal. A chic and sophisticated décor provides the setting for our distinctive "world cuisine", a provocative mix of zesty influences that creates a delightful dining experience in Palm Springs, California. Plush high-backed semicircular banquettes surround our dining room and offer comfortable and private seating. The cuisine has a light, exotic feel with an emphasis on Pacific Rim specialties, from Chilean Sea Bass baked in Banana Leaves or Kahlua-Barbecued Pork Chops to all sorts of tasty tapas, salads, wood-fired pizzas, and desserts. The Coral Seas Lounge, a hip mid-century style bar is lined with sexy black leather bar-stools and is reminiscent of the upbeat lounges of old Palm Springs. Established in the heart of Palm Springs at the foot of the San Jacinto Mountains, Le Vallauris has been one of the highest rated restaurants in the Coachella Valley since its inception in 1973. The exquisite cuisine at Le Vallauris is prepared by Executive Chef, Gabriel Morales, Award winning Angeleno Chef who has replaced the long time Chef Jean Paul Laire as he retired in 2024. The Historic Landmark was built in 1927 as a home for the Roberson family, who managed Palm Springs' first hotel, The Desert Inn. Many grand parties were held in the house for guests such as Duke Ellington, Nat King Cole, Louis Armstrong and many more. Later on, when the restaurant was established it became a favourite place for Presidents and the Hollywood elite, and local socialites.

    Absolutely delicious food and amazing service, had a great view on the patio overlooking Palm Springs. Worth every penny to celebrate my wife and I 4 year anniversary.

    Every aspect of the evening was: exceptional! Reading some of the recent reviews I was slightly apprehensive about the change of ownership/management but - nothing about ones experience has changed. We were able to secure a space on the patio for a friends/business dinner. Seated promptly, the quality of service was high and exceeded our expectations. The engagement from all staff was attentive, warm and friendly, and the quality of each of the dishes in our four courses was simply beautifully delicious. We engaged with the Farouk, the Sommelier, who offered an off-menu selection - elegant and paired with our variety of dishes very well. I still highly recommend Le Vallauris.

    We had our Valentine's Dinner with out of town friends at LuLu's. I'm so glad we picked LuLu's as our restaurant. The food and service were top notch. All of my friends enjoyed their meal. The restaurant had a violinist which made dining much more enjoyable and the restaurant was nicely decorated for Valentine's Day. I will definitely be returning for a meal in the near term. I highly recommend this restaurant and I have been a full time resident for over ten years now.
